Shame they didn't give Horizon 3 away with Gold, and now 7 as well. Seems like a pretty obvious move tbh. They did it with 6, and Horizon 1.

Also excited to check out Surgeon Sim 2. First game was stupid fun. Bugger I happen to be up late and able to game for a bit and it's quarter to 1, September 2, but they clearly didn't mean Aussie time :'( … Only found out this game existed the other day at all by seeing it in the coming soon section, another winner, Game Pass.

    • Yep, especially since they won't even be making any sales after its delisting. Unfortunately there seems to be less of an overall focus on Gold now with Gamepass. Let's hope the sequel to Surgeon Sim lives up to the wackiness of the last!

Why is Forza 7 leaving? I thought MS studio games were permanent for gamepass?

    • +6

Car license expires soon. Happens to all forza games next ones will be on gamepass. At this rate Motorsport 8 will be out and better then GT 7

      • +1

lol guessing you got a neg for pooping on GT7… but this info is accurate, its leaving because car licensing… how rediculous… but thats the world we live in!

A lot of Sony fanboys here getting upset lol

    • This one disappointed me too. Can’t believe it’s due to car licensing expiring if true. Seems a bit weird for a product that’s already made :(

  • MS gifted me a FM7 Standard game code as I had bought DLC for it.

Hmm, is this a regular thing? I wonder if there's a cutoff and if buying DLC is a way to keep the game?
Looks like it might have been prior to 2nd August, but I would imagine they wouldn't screw over people who buy DLC between now and cutoff?

      EDIT: From their Twitter:
"Tokens for Game Pass players are available for those that purchased DLC after the game entered Game Pass, but before we announced the delisting."

    FF13, here wo go again!

    Attempt no. 42069.

For anyone with Gamepass, Psychonauts 2 recently released straight onto Gamepass and it's fantastic. Definitely worth checking for the price of a month worth of Gamepass.

I've also got my money's worth out of Forza Horizon 4.

FH3 was the best in the series, IMO. FH4…. that menu system, too many online linked achievements…. plus the CLOTHING, omg.
I play racing games to race and drive, not wear hats.

      • I missed FH3. Haven't had an Xbox since the original and didn't play it during its relatively short stint on PC.

The menu is ridiculous, but fine once I learned it. I actually don't mind the clothing since it's all free in-game. Not gonna lie, it hurts when a Super Wheelspin gives you 3 pairs of socks like it's father's day… I still haven't even picked up the DLC since there's so much to enjoy in the base game.

        I'll grab 5 on release!

One thing I liked in FH4 was the area around Bamburgh Castle.
My father in law lives not far from there in the real world, so I know the area well. The castle, roads (even car park!!) is hyper accurate. Yes there is some creative license which is fine for a game, but I just loved how it felt like I was over there.
I take slow cars and drive around just enjoying the scenery :)

edit: Edinburgh too. Very accurate, including the big hill to the east.

Breathedge (Cloud, Console, and PC) [email protected] – September 9

Inspired by Retrofuturism, Soviet aesthetics, and dark comedy movies, Breathedge is a fresh take on the survival genre that puts you in control of a simple guy called the Man who is carrying his grandpa’s ashes to a galactic funeral and suddenly finds himself in the middle of a universal conspiracy.

      Thanks, added to the post.

  • Ffxiii is fantastic. As good as any game released today.

Crescendo… ff7 remake can’t be far off. Prediction: Xmas present for all.
