  • +8

I received the code 9:06 am in my email, so basically now. Check your mail for codes, seem to be user specific

    • +1

I don't know why people are negging you,

if anyone has a code not buying it, please DM with the code.

      • It is targeted you can't use others code I reckon.

  • +1

    Targeted?

  • +14

    No code no deal

  • Delivery not available for my postcode and closest store is too far away.

    • Same.shame.

  • Good deal.

    Shame about the unique code.

  • Sorry guys, i am sure there are plenty of people around here that received the email and won't use the code

    • Depends the code may only work with that account.

received the email and won't use the code

  • Damn wanting one of these :(. No unique code for me

  • Does anyone need a 15% off Oppo code? Came in the same email?

  • F, not sure why I don't get 'targeted' for any of these

  • ZZzzzzzz

  • no stock in toowoomba :(

  • Please don't ask for codes in the comments, use the Code Request Megathread to ask. If you have a spare code, please consider giving it to a user who has requested it there.

  • No G29?

  • Does G29 work on PC/PS5?

    • +1

      Yes.

      • Dang. Thanks, well I don't have a code anyways so will keep an eye out next time.

Confusing how they say PC/Xbox but not PC/PS4

        • G920 is Xbox PC
          G29 is PS4, ps5 and PC

There is also the new g923. There are 2 models with the same name. 1 for PS/PC and 1 for Xbox/PC.

          • +1

@DASHCAM NOW DUDE: It shites me that it's not an all-platforms wheel. It's the reason I don't own one.

            • @justtoreply: I think its because Sony charges for compatible drivers or something.

            • @justtoreply: One way you could have an all-platforms wheel is if you had a fanatec wheelbase which is PS4/PC like th csl elite and install onto it an Xbox/PC wheel like the p1 or the McLaren V2 wheel.

  • Thanks! Great deal! Even if g29 is available only in Bendigo :(((

  • it was replaced by Logitech G923. I believe it should have more clearance in near future.

    • I have a G923 since Apr for my Xbox Series X and paid like $350. I definitely grab a 920 for $250.

      • Don't. The g920 is terrible for Xbox. The brake isn't properly calibrated for Xbox because they wanted to make a more firm brake. If you only use it for PC it's not a problem as you can normally calibrate brake saturation and deadzones but significant issue for Xbox as you can only brake 80% and most games don't allow for saturation and deadzones.

  • Bought this wheel when it first came out. Very happy with it. I had an entry level Fanatec before this which cost about 3 times as much and while the Fanatec was better, for the price this thing is fantastic value. Have had it a few years now and still going strong. If you can nab one for $249 consider it a bargain for a strong product.

  • Great price but I'm holding out for the new Thrustmaster T248.

    • To go half price?

      • To get released.

        • Not looking at fanatec's new cheap DD unit?

    • I would wait for some proper reviews and not influencer reviews.
Some comments on reddit say the steering and ffb isn't as good as T300RS but has better pedal setup.

      • I’m going to wait for the paid reviews, the user reviews, the ozbargainer review, procrastinate on the first time it’s posted here on OZB, miss out, and then finally get one when a newer model is released.

  • Good price, got mine during black friday for $270. Suggest you look at FB Marketplace. Plenty of essentially brand new for cheap after people used once and never again after deciding it wasn't for them.

I have one, and it has basically been in my spare bedroom for most of its life with the shift stick and stand.

Waiting for GT7 to get it out again, hope to get some use out of it then.

    • +1

Guilty. I used my Driving Force GT (PS3) only once many years ago and just decided to list it for sale thanks to this deal reminder. Looks like it might fetch what I paid for it too going by eBay sales history. Who are these crazy people paying RRP for used PS3 gear!?

  • While we are on the topic, what is the cheapest set up to mount it to?

    • +1

      Your lap.

For an upgrade, recyle a pallet + spend $10 on screws.

    • +1

      I got this
for $69 last year but price for same listing has gone up considerably. Does the trick and you can attach the shift

      • How is it? looks a bit wobbly from the pic?

        • Depends how hard you drive. It is reasonably heavy and I didn't have that many concerns when I used it. It is the "mini" variant. There is the normal sized one. Link further down by someone else

Probably one of the more popular stands for this wheel

Here is a YouTube review, note he didn't put the shifter stand

          https://youtu.be/oJRoDgKCnRc

    • Just bought one. Keen to know this too. :)

      1) Budget?
      2) How much space do you have? e.g. are you happy to leave it permanently set up, or do you need it pack it up or move it when needing to work/watch TV (depending if you're playing PC/console)
      3) Do you need a seat?

Absolute cheapest (and BYO chair) will probably be GT Art stands like this for $170 shipped. A more space efficient set up would be something like the NLR Wheel Stand Lite for $229. It can be folded (even with pedals/wheel attached) for easier movement/storage. It is sturdy enough for G29 and even some belt driven wheel bases if you upgrade.

If you need a seat built in and want portability, then look at something like the NLR GT Lite for $379. Lots of adjustability available and they fold up to a decently compact size for storage/movement with wheel/pedals attached. Just be prepared to spend a bit of time re-setting it to your preferred positions etc. An alternative seat + wheel + pedal set up is the Playseat Challenge for $429.

I play on PC and have the NLR Wheel Stand Lite with Fanatec CSL Elite (previously had G29). I play other games and WFH so the stand has been good to slide to the side of my desk while I work, and just slide back when racing.

I use an office chair so to stop myself rolling back when braking, I measured some of this strapping to wrap from the wheel stand to 2 of my chair legs. That way I can brake as hard as I need and not push the stand away or roll backwards.

I did a lot of research recently on getting a wheel stand for my G29 + shifter setup. Ended up with the GT Omega Classic at $134 which is just a bit more than the rubbish ripoff models on eBay which look similar but are nowhere near the quality. .

Free delivery to Sydney in 3 days. Easy to assemble, and build quality and stability are way beyond my expectations. Plenty of youtube reviews.

You also get 2 adjustable gearshift mount options, and for $80 you can add a seat base later. Their seats are really expensive though, so I'd look elsewhere for that.

        Link: https://www.gtomega.com.au/products/classic-steering-wheel-s…

Edit to add: I just followed the link and I can see it is currently sold out. Worth waiting for new stock.

        • Didn't realise you could a seat base to that, cool!
however by the time you buy the seat base add on, find a seat and rail, you're better off buying the ART base for $476 and don't have to mess around with getting the aftermarket seat to fit.

      • I got this one for $90 delivered and am really happy with the quality, can't fault https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/303723674410

I had $25 off $200 TGG from afterpay. So ended up paying $225 for G29. Pickup Midland WA

    • +3

Just grabbed mine from Midland too. The lady at the counter was like 'What the hell is going on with these things?" :D lol

  • any discounts on the webcame c922?

  • Seems like an excellent deal based on a quick look at reviews. Hoping to grab one. Posted a code request in the thread!

For those familiar, do they often go on sale for this price?

    • Nope, I odnt think they have ever been before

  • Wow I was very close to pulling the trigger on its retail price, this is some serious discount. Posted a code request in the thread as well.

  • Very cheap price. Bought my G29 for $299 a few years ago. Price sitting around $400 since then. Mate of mine picked up one now for F1 2021

  • +3

I got a code, however no delivery and no location available within 300 km makes this pretty sad face

    • Is it you can only apply the code after login? I just want to know if the code is unique to you or not.

  • +3

I suspect few of these "brand new" "unwanted gift" to git market place soon between $300-$400

  • no delivery and no local pickup anyway, good deal, but only for those lucky

  • Just wondering, what do you have to do to get these emails? I have subscribed to their newsletter, but have not every received these code specific deals

    • I have no idea to be honest. I am not subscribed to anything special. The mail came from [email protected]

      • hmmm, weird I get emails from the same address. Wondered why some got the emails and others didn't

    • I am subscribed but didn't get the code. I just checked my online account and saw that i didn't have the "
I'd like to receive special offers, exclusive discounts and marketing material by…" selected though.

Maybe they sent it out to people who lived near a store with stock? Wasn't much stock in Sydney and delivery was unavailable when this was posted.

    • Have you ever purchased the good guys extra warranty, the ‘gold service extras’ for any of your products you’ve f]bought from them?

      • Never bought extra warranty, thats a interesting hypothesis, could anyone else share their thoughts?

        • I got a code and also have purchased ‘gold service extras’ on my microwave and TV

  • I believe that these are targeted for customers who may have purchased ‘gold service extras for their products, which is The good guys ‘extra warranty’. I’ve purchased their gold service extras and got a code.

    • I would have never wasted money on that. No, I have never purchased the concierge service or extended warranty

  • -5

Thank you for sharing. Managed to get two G920 thanks to you. Hope you have a nice day, OP!😊
