  Bizarre kit. FlexVolt advantage is worse than the full spec stuff and a 18v impact driver with a regular 18v battery.

    Regular Drills/impacts only come in the 18v for dewalt ATM. The flex advantage dcd999 is more powerful then the older dcd996 which wasn't Advantage equipped. So more run time etc with same batteries.

    Your right. It is a mixed bag kit. The added value of the grinder, drill kit and extra $100 credit only makes this kit worth while.

  The grinder is only $199 at mitre 10 this month. So I'm not convinced on the kit. Its ok.

    Yeah fair enough it is $199 at a few places syd tools rrp is a joke. . Even using ebay as a price guide, the cheapest for all the above is $1030. And that was for new only, plus no warranty, no redemption drill bits and no $100 store credit.

    The big cost in the kit is the dcd999. It's still retail $379~ or cheapest new $299 on eBay.
