    $29 in PowerPass

    • I can’t see this price in PowerPass. What’s the item number?

      • +2

        0889284

        • Thank you - found a couple at my local bunnings thru this code.

        • Thank you. Got myself 2 this morning. Wouldnt have done it without your help.

        • +2

Picked up the last 4 at Box Hill Bunnings.
Staff were kind enough to reduce them to $25 without asking…
          then $20, without asking….
          Then I asked…
          $17 each….
I’ll be telling the kids about this day when I’m old.

  • Damn, not quite deep enough. Thought I could use a bunch of these to transport my vinyl.

    • +2

      That’s what she said

    • Just use milk crates? The lock on these things would be too flimsy for records, I'd worry that it would crack open.

      • They're going to be in a container for at least a month and travelling from SEQ to TAS during summer. I'm looking for something to protect against humidity so I need it sealed.

        • This isn’t the IP54 version.

          • @Cappuccino_o: I feel that if I were to put an extra seal around the top that should be sufficient for moisture protection. Either way, these aren't big enough for the LPs.

Made years ago prior to the conflict, manufacturer already paid by DeWalt with Sydney Tools and Total Tools already purchased from DeWalt. What difference will not buying this make? Absolutely zero. Your loss and someone else will pick up the bargain.

Interestingly all mine purchased from Sydney Tools don't say Made in Israel.

        • Did you not read the deal? It's a discontinued product. Once it's all sold out it's gone. So again makes 0 difference to what Israel is doing now years after manufacture of this toolbox.

Though it does raise an important question. If you're a citizen of Israel, working in a factory, in a company not state owned and your government decides to commit genocide… are you responsible? Should you and your workplace be punished? It would seem the answer is yes.

Then of course where do we draw the line? Our own soldiers executed civilians in the middle east. Should we boycott ourselves? Or is that different because a few civilians is less than a country?

          • -5

@Clear: Again if you read my comment it was a recommendation. If you like to spend your money on something that eventually supports unethical activities that’s up to you. The whole picture is that eventually the person that purchases this product has in part supported the economy of the manufacturing country of this product

            • -1

@Pranks King: The product was made long before the conflict. Buying or owning something produced years before these events doesn’t contribute to or support anything happening today.

              • -1

@Clear: Yes and no. Before the conflict it was still the same from isnotreal. People just were not aware of what they were doing compared to the enormity of what they're doing now.

If it's not manafactured there anymore then no issue. Already paid for.

Either way, we can all make our own decisions. I boycott, but try not to force the idea down someone's throat.

I mean if I could boycott everyone, I would. I'd save $$ haha.

I agree there needs to consistency. I've started boycotting the UAE due to their complicity with Sudan. But to what point do we boycott.

All this over a cheap plastic box!

                • @Dreamcast: I agree completely. I pointed out further below that an Israeli company is the largest manufacturer of generic drugs in the world with a number of important drugs used in Australia for cancer and pain management. I didn't know that until yesterday and I bet many of the people saying not to buy this toolbox know either.

Getting everyone to boycott Teva, or rather the pharmacies themselves would have a big impact. We both know that won't happen.

            • +5

@Pranks King: @Pranks King, don't you buy anything from China? Lots of unethical activities happening there.

          • -5

@Clear: Israelis are slaughtering civilians on an industrial scale. It's not a war. Buy whatever you want, I will. If you're going to use faulty logic to pretend it's OK to slaughter civilians you may as well excuse yourself from the human race dude.

            • @BigTriangle: Faulty logic? You've responded with pure emotion instead of addressing what I actually said. I never claimed it's ok to slaughter civilians, that's not the argument.

My point is that buying this product doesn't fund or support anything happening with Israel today.

The bigger question is about consistency. People are calling for boycotts of Israeli made goods, yet when our own government and allies commit atrocities there's no comparable outrage or boycott. If we're going to assign collective guilt, where does it end? Should ordinary workers or citizens be punished for actions their government takes without their control?

        • Mine was made this year…you can tell the month and year when a lot of plastics are made as they have two clock like symbols with arrows pointing to the month and year eg

          • -1

@jjoker: Interestingly no mention of Israel anywhere. The only mention is from TKD.

      • +1

I thought Israel had been occupying West Bank and Gaza since 1967. This was made prior?

        • +2

Are we going to boycott every country that invades others? How about the unjustified Iraq invasion in 2003? That means we'll have to boycott not only ourselves, but the US, UK and about 35 other countries who contributed.

          • +6

@Clear: Some people want to make everything about themselves and their own opinions. Just ignore them and move on. I'm here just for the bargains. Thanks for posting.

          • -5

@Clear: Only those commiting genocide if thats ok with you.

            • -3

@ialam99: Well our soldiers, as well as the coalition did kill a lot of civilians and ethnic groups intentionally. What's your limit?

              • -2

@Clear: Genocide is my limit. What's yours?

                • +5

@ialam99: Modern Australia was created by committing genocide of the aboriginal Australians, stealing their land and resources. Time for you to move elsewhere.

Everything is made in China which is constantly accused of committing genocide against the uyghur people. Time for you to stop using made in China products, which is basically everything.

          • +3

@Clear: And don't forget everyone driving Japanese Cars. Or German ones. Or French ones for that matter. Or Chinese ones. And Tesla's. They're no good because their boss is South African, and something something Apartheid. South Korean ones might be ok as long as they don't get too aggressive with their K-pop.

            • +2

              @moar bargains:

South Korean ones might be ok as long as they don't get too aggressive with their K-pop.

              😂🤣😅

    • +9

As much as the situation in israel. Hate to say it but i agree. 50 hostages for a whole city that has been bombed. Dunno how its justified

      • +5

Interestingly, 4 days ago they killed 46 kids because dead bodies were not being delivered quick enough. When genocide is the intent, its all justified.

    • -2

Too much of this hatred is being brought into this country through mass immigration. You need to realise this Is Australia and you are posting your hatred on a bargain site. If you are not happy with Australia and its ways you could always go live elsewhere!

      • +3

mass migration has nothing to do with hate, killing civilians is immoral in many demographics, regardless of background, and australians serving in the IDF doing the killing of other australian relatives needs more than a jingle on australia day to signal what it means to be australian.

        • -3

No one cares for your hatred here. Take it elsewhere. If you care so much get up of your keyboard warrior couch and go to Israel and do something about it instead of spreading the built up hatred on a Aussie bargain site. Shake my head

      • Mass migration would have never happened if people just live normally and not chose to kill anyone.

    • +1

      @Pranks King
More and more people are waking up to the propraganda. Don't you find it insane that all these tunnels have been found underneath Palestine? Coming up underneath hospitals, mosques, childrens bedrooms, schools etc.?
Anyway, enjoy the bargain for what it is and keep your agenda elsewhere.

    • You must be joking

    • -3

Made in Israel. I recommend buying this.

  • Will have to buy 4 to get free delivery … I guess I try match at Bunnings tomorrow if the deal lasts longer.

But is it good for grocery shopping? The 3-1 with wheels shall fit this purpose better.

  • FYI got the triple from the last deal. Seems like it's on sale because either phasing this our or they got the colour of the plastic wrong from the factory on this one, it's more a black with a dark blue tinge, instead of the normal black. Seems like the factory stuffed it and stores are clearing so customers don't have a mismatch with their original sets.

I could be wrong though, as OP mentioned I never knew there were two version of this, one with IP54.

    ymmv

  • -1

It is suprseded with new model.

  • Boycotting Israeli products can unintentionally include essential medicines and technologies, since Israel contributes significantly to healthcare and innovation. While opposing violence and injustice is important, both Israelis and Palestinians must recognize that lasting peace depends on coexistence, not mutual destruction.

    • +2

When it comes to medicine that means boycotting Teva. Say goodbye to many medicines used for migraines, advanced prostate cancer, Parkinson's disease, fentanyl, asthma, COPD, iron deficiency, schizophrenia management and heaps of Teva generics for cancer, transplant, neurological and cardiovascular treatments. Yikes, that'll hurt them more than a toolbox.

      • +1

They only boycott what they can buy elsewhere for the same price 😅

      • biggest manufacturer of generics is india, for their own population and exports due to cheap labour and economies of scale, can’t say i’ve ever bought generics made in israel.

        • Read up on their Wikipedia page and you'll be surprised to know they're the largest generic drug manufacturer in the world. Not all of it is manufactured in Israel.

          • @Clear: teva is based on revenue, other companies beat it in kg manufactured as they sell mainly to 3rd world countries so less revenue for same amount of pharmaceuticals, teva sells mainly in 1 st world so makes more $$ per kg.

    • unfortunately these types of events create hate for another generation , just when displacement was a story told by grandparents to kids, the kids now live it, for them it’s now nolonger a story told by old people.
