BEWARE THIS GAME IS HARD TO PLAY!!!

    • +7

It is hard, but its easily the easiest souls game

      • Absolutely it’s easier, though it’ll still knock someone around that isn’t up to snuff with the genre. I was a bit of an oddball when I first played it in how I went about it. Got stuck halfway through, left it for a while, played and finished Dark Souls 1, then went back and finished it with minimal issues. The DLC content in Dark Souls is where the difficulty gap became very noticeable, for me at least.

Go with a mage build. Put all your points into magic and intelligence. The firestorm spell is massively overpowered :D

    • The very reason I loved this game since 2009. It's not hard , it just takes a certain amount of old school video game skills and patience

    • It takes patience, especially at the start. Once you get used to the buttons and the weapons and how dodge and block works, it will click.

Having said that, this is the easiest out of the Soulsborne series.

On my first playthrough in terms of difficulty:

      Sekiro > Bloodborne > DS2 > DS1 > DS3 > Demon’s Souls

And yes pump stats into magic and you’ll be OP pretty quickly.

    • Pro tip ' Gid Gud '

    • It has a massive learning curve and you can die easily. But this is the game started with Dark Souls as the successor.

Dark Souls was an awesome game same with this one.

However what I didn't like there are missables

Original PS3 title and you would have to get the Asia version to connect to Asia servers

    • lol if you like Dark souls or sekiro then get Demon souls.

I remember playing this game on the PS3 back in the day.

YES IT WAS ON THE PS3 that how old this game is lol they just released the SAME game with better graphics on PS5

Really want to play this but no ps5

They don't check for ps5, before letting you buy.

    • I'd buy this now if you're looking into buying a PS5 as it's suspected to keep its price for a while. Of course buy only if you're a fan as it's not for everyone. Game is amazing with the graphics, gameplay, soundtrack and story. It's hard yes, but with practise and co-op help, you'll be fine. highly recommend this game.

Crazy to me $67 is a deal when that used to be the pricing for games

      That is a different game.

      Should've gone to Specsavers

      how embarrassing…
I actually do need glasses, but have been putting it off

  • +1

I've been playing this all day and have found hardly any summons. I'll try again tomorrow if anyone is keen.

    • +1

I've got vague memories of Dark Souls 1. Dunno if the mechanics are similar but you can't be hollowed to summon. So if you died you need to take an item before summoning.

    • +1

There are few things to consider if not getting any summons.

There is a lvl cap when summoning for co-op. I think the other player should be max 10lvl above or below.

Also if I’m not mistaken most players try to stay between 80-120 lvl. Some forums suggest this is the most crowded lvl range.

Second thing is the server. Based on my experience APAC region is a ghost town. You get more players if you change the region to all. But obviously you will face a noticable lag when plaing with EU and US players.

Does it come with a free PS5 console?

  • -1

    Maybe when it's $49

  • What's really new in this for those who have already played the original PS3 version? Just better graphics??

  • +2

I consider Demons Souls to be very friendly compared to Mortal Shell , i ripped up the book …snapped the CD and burnt the cover a few days after purchase. don't regret the purchase felt a lot better afterward but never again.

  • It's is the Ghouls and Ghosts of this generation.
