As per your title…..Rent a van to move house from south west to west Sydney, load said van up with fridge, washing, mattress etc. Drive to new place, unload.

I used Car Next Door to rent a van for moving and it worked out pretty cheap and pretty convenient.

I don't think you can fit that fridge in a van though as they aren't supposed to be transported laying down
Car Next Door is a good option, can pay by the hour as well. Won't be able to keep the fridge upright in a van but should be alright if you leave it upright for a while before turning it on.
Fridges can be transported lying down, but they would need to be kept upright for the same time (at minimum) it was on its side to let the fluid settle back to its original place, before turning on.

I transported my chest freezer laying down… Still works.
Many of the vans come with a trolley and blankets too which makes the job easier.

Car Next Door. - do yourself a favour and pick a van that will fit the mattress standing up on it's side.
