I'm opting out of this one. I think it's unethical when sites like this one don't tell you who they are.
It's run by the same company behind energywatch.com.au. Check the terms; if you opt out of marketing you won't get the freebies. Apparently the batches of shower heads (up to 500) will be sent over the next 6 months. But who knows if they actually get sent or not?
In Melbourne there has been a long running campaign by the water companies (eg Yarra Valley Water) to offer replacement shower heads at no cost. Only catch is you have to be an owner. Just call them up.
The showerheads are quite good, and are quoted as being worth about $40.
Somehow I think they will be calling you to arrange a 'session', then replace your shower heads. At the same time, they'll try pushing you to buy their products. I don't think they will be posting it through the mail. Otherwise, how else would they earn money?
