Hi all, I'm trying to buy a $2000 item on ebay but went to buy my second $500 Cashrewards Choice gift card and it told me there is a daily limit.
Just wondering when did this come into place?
And also anyway to get around it with out having to buy 4 X $500 cards over 4 days?

I’m not aware of when True Rewards brought in a gift card purchase limit, but a lot of gift card portals have similar purchase limits to help clamp down on fraudulent/unauthorised transactions.

I’ll further elaborate on Neoika’s comment above.
It seems you are unaware of eBay’s limits on the number of gift cards and the gift card amount you can redeem in a single transaction on eBay. If you look at dot point 11 of the eBay gift card T&Cs:
No more than a total of $1,500 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per transaction, no more than a total of $2,000 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per day, and no more than a total of $5,000 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per calendar month.
Further, you may only redeem a maximum of eight Gift Cards in any single transaction (and fewer if you are redeeming Gift Cards in combination with other redemption codes, such as coupons or vouchers).
Essentially:
You can only redeem $1,500 in gift cards to pay for your $2,000 item, and
You can only redeem 8 gift cards in conjunction with another payment method (or 7 gift cards and a coupon code in conjunction with another payment method).
In order to get around the $500 daily limit of gift cards through True Rewards without waiting three days, you need to purchase gift cards through other gift card sellers.
OzBargain has a dedicated Wiki page for discounted gift cards available through a wide variety of discount gift card portals.
You can find eBay gift cards (or Swap Celebration gift cards, as they can be exchanged for eBay gift cards) at a higher discount rate (or higher cashback rate) than Cashrewards.
If you do some of your shopping at Coles or already use Flybuys points, you could head into your local Coles and purchase 5x $100 Swap Celebration gift cards to get 5500 Flybuys points (equivalent to $27.50 in Flybuys Dollars). I would strongly advise against getting the $50 denominations, because of the 8 (or 7, depending on whether you’re using a coupon code) gift card limit on eBay.
