USB Powered Lighting for Small Outdoor Area

The GF has a small patio out the back but no convenient access to 240 so we put up a solar LED net light and a couple of strings of solar festoon lights. Whilst they look good neither give any worthwhile lighting for the BBQ and dining etc.
I've got a few USB powerpacks so thought they might be useful for powering something a bit more functional.

Any suggestions for lighting ideas powered from USB for outdoor dining and drinks ?
Thanks

  • I have a few of power banks and have used xiaomi USB light sticks or little lanterns.

These do not offer anything more than mood lightin or if you want to sit outside chat, drink wine and chill. Eating, reading are probably not great with those lights.

You may need some of those proper camping lantern infact there was a couple of good Sofirm lantern deals a little while ago.

  • Couple of these stuck on the wall. Decently bright and batteries last forever.

Everyone should have them for emergencies anyway. Particularly good for car/boat/camping.

    • lmao I sleep with one of these a foot from my head when there, although I've never checked it out.

  • Not USB but if you happen to use Ozito Power X Change gear and have batteries (only slightly less common than eneloops around here) then you could try something like this:

    • Dewalt stuff here from my Bunnings days in 2014 but nice suggestion.

  • Camping lantern? The Sofrin BLF LT1 looks pretty shmick.

  • Is it not too hard to run an extension cable ?

    • No but just thought a USB battery pack might be a little more convenient.

  • +1

I use lights similar to those in the link below on my garage benches. Bright enough to work with at night.
