  • I imagine these could be quite fun to play with. But $300 worth? Still too much to me…

Great fun, but they don't fare so well after crashing in to pools

  • Is this version 1 or version 2?

    • I believe its version 1, as the specs for the camera is not HD

      • New one not due for release til May.
This one has the same specs as the one on Parrots Australian website, selling for $350

        • Thanks. V2.0 is now orderable from the Parrot website, but doesn't seem to be in the Aus sites yet.. I might wait for it then.

Good price from the poster though - most other people are selling this for $349.

  • There seems to be a typo somewhere, as the link provided goes to a page selling the AR Drone for $329!!!

put in the promo code: newordio at checkout. drops the price. I had thought that too

Many thanks. And let's not discuss the fact that those self-same instructions are right there in black and white…

Oh my, I'm not off to a good start.

        • I don't recall seeing instructions there earlier

        • Thanks, xerot. For a moment there, I thought I was suffering from a really bad case of "boy vision".

This was a good price to buy it [$199] http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/59357

    • Yep came here to say i bought this from EB for $200 including shipping.

  • Bought mine from Amazon for $300 last year and so far its been great to play with, but when you do own one you will notice just how Windy this Earth place can be!

I'd say most retailers will be selling V1 to get rid of stock for V2 so it might be worth holding on for a while longer if you want one? (which i would recommend)

  • If you feel like using a package forwarding company, they're only $270USD on Brookstone (around $252AUD at mid-market rates).

Free shipping within the USA, and the parcel's aren't that heavy, so I dare say forwarding wouldn't be too expensive.

Just be careful with these. There's a known software/hardware bug which makes them "fly away" if you lose the WiFi signal for any reason.
