I bought it last year. Super happy with the purchase. didn't need to change the cartridge yet, but cheap generic ones are available on ebay.

For cheap running costs check out ebay for compatible toner and drums and calculate the cost per page as they vary in how many pages they cover/need replacing.

I bought a Samsung ML-2164 in 2013 for $19.50 and it is still going strong. Toner is around $25 delivered from eBay.

Most Brother models are out of stock everywhere. I bought a MFC-L3745CDW from TGG about two weeks back. Needed a colour printer and thought the ADF for scanning would be useful.

Happy with it. Only disappointment is that it can't do two sided scanning - not even manual.
