This would be a good way to listen to music on the train

    • Oh the pain.

Or leave it in jetstar overhead bin while playing

    $49 @ Kogan + free shipping

    • Oh. This is even better if you buy more than 1.

  • buy 2, use 3,5 stereo in

also how is it only 5kg??

    • +1

      Because it is plastic.

      • +8

        Even the magnet is plastic.

    • Because it's probably a shit speaker. Sound quality probably is terrible.

      • +4

We already know it's not going to be amazing by simply looking at it (and the price).

But you don't have to be THAT harsh against it, sheesh 🙄

      • +1

It is. I brought this from the last deal because I want a loud speaker, for what it is, it’s loud but there is a constant static noise ever when nothing is playing, very annoying.

        • Well there you go, that would be irritating.

  • 50 delivered to NSW 2176. Just bought one for the garage.

  • Any comments on the quality ?

It's a boom box. I pressed one of these into service for an electric drum kit. It does surprisingly well, once I figured out how to turn the reverb (echo) off.

Best to leave it plugged in to the power pack at all times.

I've got an annoying neighbour with their BT speaker playing Daryl Braithwaite's "Horses" daily :(. I was going to aim my doorless microwave towards the speaker but this may work better.

7.4V 1800mAh - it's battery is so cute compared to some powerbanks

Been as low as $39 with shipping before

  • Has ANYONE had one of these and can vouch for real world quality?

    • +1

As mentioned, I hooked one up to an electronic drum kit in the music room, about 3 mnths ago.. Gets a hammering about twice a week. So far, so good.

      • Gday ArskinF … I'm one of the people waiting for an Alesis Nitro Mesh to be shipped from the UK thanks to the recent deal. Been weighing up the options for an amp … powered pa / kb drum amp etc. 2 Q's / are you connecting up via the mic in with vol control or the aux input? How does it sound for regular music or movie playback via BT?

        • Using the Auxilliary input on the speaker. Bit of fiddling with the attenuation on the drum kit's controller and the speaker and it is not too bad.

          The cymbals sound great.

When we need a bit more kick in the bass I split the signal and feed it a bass amp as well.

        • Should mention the electric drum kit is only used from jamming and practice at home in the music room. It would not be sufficient for gigs.

bought from Laser for $39 delivered few months ago, it's very plastic, wheels seemed useless, the handle mechanism broke straight away, pulled the handle out to see how it worked, and would not go back in… sound was pretty good, quite loud, but only used it for a few minutes… LED light show on my unit was blue light only…

You should be able to get one for $50 delivered this way…

Add two speakers to cart, then add coupon 'LASER10' to get free shipping. The total should be $110. Then change quantity to one speaker and the total is $50 inc shipping as it's taking the delivery fee and the discount off still.

  • People that use this for late night outdoor house parties should be shot

    • shooting people is illegal

        So is noise pollution

People who are easily offended by some music at a decent db shouldnt be so precious

If i use this speakers in a backyard weekend daytime party with friends, will they judge me since they own JBL.

I guess they aren’t my friends if they judge.
Or Am I being too judgemental about them that they might be judgemental. I dont know anything anymore. Am I okay.

I'm a few days late but RUOK?

      • +1

Yes i think i am fine.
I will try not to go on Ozbargain again when drunk.

  • Runtime Approx. 100 minutes at Max Volume

Have 2 of these, on low volume they are like tits on a bull, on higher volume they are passable for the price when I got them at 39, only you are no longer friends with your neighbours!. For the price it is pretty good and the light show is not bad especially when you are a bit sozzled! 😇

    • I feel like either I've mixed up my understanding of the expression "tits on a bull", or you really are saying that it's only passable at higher volumes?

      • tits on a bull = useless

        • Hence wondering if what soyea is saying that they are useless at low volumes and only passable at higher volumes. Would've thought it's usually the other way around that things sound better at low volumes.

          • +1

@jace88: Probably lack of power + tinny housing = bad sound no matter what :)
