Almost .2mm thicker, which is a noticeable positive

    They're trolling right?

    • I just love the wording they're using on it all haha.

The new iPhone features are rumoured to include:
Smaller notch. The front camera has moved to the left and the speaker has been moved up.
Thicker phone. Almost .2mm thicker, which is a noticeable positive.
New camera design. Rear cameras now with a diagonal layout. And larger and thicker.
Camera improvements. Larger sensors, improved telephoto, wide, and ultra-wide lenses.
Portrait video mode. Blur out the background of videos.
Faster wireless speeds. Wi-Fi 6E connection.
New operating system. Always improves how we use our phone.
Big battery. All models will feature a larger battery.
New performance-boosting chip. The A15 chip will have big benefits for speed and efficiency. And energy-saving.
Latest colours. Possibly including metallic options. And the stainless-steel coating can reduce smudges.
Refresh rate. ProMotion display with a refresh rate up to 120Hz
Always-on option. An option like the Apple Watch.
Improved FACE ID. This tech is getting impressive.
    More storage. Up to 1TB

    JB you've done it again!

This is all guessing based off leaks. Cya tomorrow morning :-)

That's the experience you get in-store.

Which iPhone has a 3.5mm headphone jack that doesn’t force you to buy vastly overpriced, crappy sounding , easily lost wireless headphones that need charging to work and drain the phone battery due to needing constant Bluetooth.

    • +7

You can buy a dongle which will convert Lightning -> 3.5MM audio jack https://www.apple.com/au/shop/product/MMX62FE/A/lightning-to…

Apple courageously ditched the headphone jack starting with the iPhone 7, which was a fairly long time ago. The most recent iPhone to still retain one is the iPhone SE first gen.

Why do you want an iPhone if it doesn't do what you want it to do?

      • +2

You new to the internet? The Apple haters comment on these posts in swathes with their pointless nonsense

Or on the other hand you can have a tangle free wireless connection to any of the best selling headphones on the market, AirPods, AirPods Pro, Bose QC35, Sony WH-1000XM4.

I don't miss having tangled wired headphones in my pocket one bit.

      • bluetooth sounds worse than wired unfortunately.

        • +5

Possibly. But for 99% of headphone listening I’m in a noisey place/out and about so there’s no way I’d hear the quality difference.

If you really enjoy music you listen on a real speaker system in your lounge not on headphones connected to your phone.

          • @stirlo: actually i usually listen on my headphones (wired), but for the times when i'm out and have nothing to do i wish my phone had a headphone jack. i have a few pairs of wireless, all of them are supposed to be great considering they are wireless, but coming from wired the quality difference is too jarring.

even coming from a relatively cheap pair of wired (koss porta pro) the quality is just worse with bluetooth

      • +3

Facts, literally the only time I'll prefer wired headphones are when I'm producing music or editing, because I do not want even the slightest latency. Every other use case, gimme bluetooth all day. AirPods Pro + Sony XM3 gang gang

      • Except you need to pay $200+ for those products…
I'll stick with the wired earpods

  • Call me a party pooper, but the "slight" improvements from one model to the next just don't excite me anymore. Happy to hold on to the same model for a good 3 years now and then I'll notice some minor improvements.
    I'll pass on this one.

    • That's right. We all here own the latest and care only about year to year differences.

Still on iPhone 8 Plus and am not interested in upgrading

Looks like the text has been pulled! 🤐

    • Replaced with iPhone 12 vs 11 🤣

  • Does anyone know how long it takes for JB Hi-Fi to sell new iPhones?

    • Ask a JB Hifi employee? The official release date is Sept 24.

It's already on the website https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/apple-iphone-13-pro-max-1… at an eye watering price of $2719 for the balls-to-the-walls 1TB variant. No purchase button but I think it won't be that long before you'll see pre-orders open up, possibly this week or next.

      • Wow, it was not there when I posted my question.

  • Regarding these predictions some of them really were rumors. I didn't see reverse wireless charging mentioned. Or always on display.
