New gaming build advice - Budget $2500

Hi,

Looking to have a gaming PC built by a reputable company (Centrecom, Umart, PCCG, Aftershock etc) or alternatively order a pre-built. The budget is $2500, it can be stretched slightly if there is a good enough reason, maybe to $2750 tops.

Some of the games to be played will be GTA 5, Latest COD, Halo, Assassins Creed, Cyberpunk 2077 and a few other, less demanding titles.

At this stage, I'm looking at this from Centrecom, however I'm sure that there are better options out there. Windows doesn't need to come activated and I don't need any peripherals.

Thanks,

Nathan

Overpriced for 3060 build, you can build a 3070ti maybe even 3080 build for $2750. Will create PCPP list for you and post the link below

    $2800-3000 now
Wait for occasional deals, can get a cheaper cooler/case/psu if you wish
    $1750-1850 allocated for gpu

  • This looks good if you don't want to DIY https://www.centrecom.com.au/centre-com-thunder-gen10-3060-t…

ebay has alienware aurora r11 PCs without GPU, 10700F, liquid etc
add a 3060ti, would be cheaper than 2500+ 3600 build.
3070ti and 3080 is very overpriced now, 3060ti still has ok value

That's an Alienware that someone has bought and gutted for it's graphics card, with possibly no warranty. The total sum of it's parts is just that, $1.1k, there's no real saving by purchasing that.

A 6700XT build can be bought for $1699, and a 3060Ti build can be had for $1899 from BPC Tech.

  • Honestly save another $150 and get this for $2849

Yes the 9900kf is kinda old now but it's still performs extremely well and the GPU being a RTX 3080 will absolutely destroy that 3060 PC you linked.

  • what about
    AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | RTX 3080 10GB Gaming Desktop PC

Estimated Dispatch Time: 3-5 Business Days From Order Confirmation

    • 3600 might bottleneck a 3080 unsure though. Personally i would go for at least a 5600x/g

  • Hi all.

I'm hoping to place an order today. Any other suggestions ?

Looking to order a prebuilt ready to ship or have a store build it (centrecom/umart for example).

Currently looking at the below from Centrecom:

CPU: I7 11700K/5600X (which one would you recommend)
GPU: 6600XT 8GB or 3060 12GB (Would love to go 6700XT but don't think it will fit into the budget… open to suggestions :) )
    RAM: 16GB (2x8) 3200MHZ
    SSD: Cheap 240GB/480GB SSD
    HDD: 2TB WD Blue
Motherboard (Not sure but needs to have Wi-Fi, pending CPU choice)
    Case: Not sure
    PSU: Not sure
    Fans: Not sure
CPU Cooler: Not sure, don't want liquid cooling
OS: I'm assuming I can order it without and install myself later ?

    Appreciate any assistance!
