  • Is this phone any good?

    • +1

Personally I can’t comment (I’m an iPhone user), but for $99 it seems like a good phone. Large hd+ screen (267 ppi), large battery, decent cameras, fingerprint Google pay, lightweight at only 150grams I personally think it’s a good price but maybe someone can comment?

  • Does Dodo work with the Optus locked phones?

Bit hard to tell performance wise as it doesn't mention the type of processor. Wondering if it doesn't lag too bad loading multiple apps like browser, mail etc Anyone have this can comment?

    • Did you ever get one of these and did Dodo work with it?
Just ordered one for a friend and dodo have cheaper options so that would be good for him.
      Thanks.

      • No, I didn't end up buying it.

        • If I actually get it (ordered through the web, things where odd) and my mate keeps it (may just sell it) Ill buy a $5 dodo sim just to test it so we know in the future.
          Thanks for replying.

          • @PAEz: TIA!

            • @reilu: Unfortunately although the order went through, when I got there I was told it was out of stock….complete waste of my time.

              • @PAEz: Sorry to hear :( they went down to $69 for a couple of weeks. Then there were X Sight and another Optus X something that were around $19. But they were worse spec than the Alcatel 3 and I didn’t bother.

  • Hello, has anyone managed to unlock this phone by 3rd party or for free?

    • The only way to get it unlocked for free by Optus is once you have recharged a total of $80 they will provide you with a code

    • No I haven't, just uncertain if it will work on Dodo had me worried. I did pick up an Alcatel 3 phone for one of our kids last year at $99 and that has been going well. Battery lasts quite long and the youngest one is happy. Older one sniffed his nose at me when I suggested this to replace an iPhone 6, said that all his friends uses iMessage, he doesn't want a phone that doesn't iMessage ^^; guess he'll be sticking with it for a bit longer…

  • Don't buy it.

Better options out there. Realme C3.

Older flagships are also ridiculously cheap.

Spend a bit more $ for something you would want to use long term.
