Flybuys / Coles Spend X Get Bonus Points - Prepaid Mobile Cards Allowed?

I need to spend some target in one shop for a good bonus flybuys points….

Does mobile prepaid cards qualify?

Per the email, it says

"$xxx transaction excludes purchases of all gift cards, iTunes cards, charity items/donations, tobacco and tobacco related products and online delivery fees"

I'm in the market to rollover my mobile plan next month, but wondering if I should utilize this opportunity. Based on the above it doesn't look like mobile prepaid cards are excluded from the spend amount. Just wondering if anybody has experience with this?

    I've previously bought the Coles $99 SIM card and it was counted as part of the promo spend requirements.

    Yes it counts. I do It every time with Telstra Prepaid credit.

        You can also buy multiples, like 2 x $30 in the one transaction if you need to meet a spend limit. It simply prints out two lots of code on the one receipt.

          how do I do this? I'm planning to buy a coles mobile plan…how do i buy credit? Is this applicable only for telstra?

            @zooter: It can be found on the screen at the self checkout. Not all telcos available, e.g. Belong.

    Vodafone/Belong SP count even though they are activated like giftcards. I have not tried others, but they should all count toward spend target.

      Do you know if Belong SIM cards count towards bonus points spend and 4-week spend?

    Followup - I have $50 off from spending a certain amount each week for 4 weeks. So does the amount spent is the full amount spent or is $50 removed from it?

      I never chose $50 off. Why would I? 10k pts/$50 FB dollars is close to Cole GC. I read from others that $50 off is a discount, not counted towards spend target.

        I agree. When you choose the $50 off it's very difficult to track as not listed anywhere. You just have to rely on them that it will work. Also, there is a limited amount of time to spend it. The points are much better especially now you can use them when shopping online with flypay.
