I finally ran out of the $1200 vouchers I bought mainly for rides in early 2020 but repurposed for eats 😁. That included 2000 points per $100 at Woolies but Uber haven't don't an offer like that since. This is about the best you get now.

Does anyone else get a payment failed error?

I keep getting the error, even when I’m trying to pay the full amount using my cashback dollars.

    • Yeah kept failing for me with Woolworths credit card, had to switch to a different one

      • It’s weird I’ve tried 3 cards and even my ShopBack cash backs can’t succeed.

    Really? $2?

Its good if uber eats is the only app that works for you.
If you compare with restaurants' own manu or even other apps like menulog, deliveroo etc. I find most of the menu items for all restaurants overpriced. On top of that delivery fees + service charge, you end up paying a lot more. In my last order, I compared the same order from same restaurant in menulog and uber eats. Ended up ordering from menulog for $4 cheaper.

Good to combine with 40/50% or $15 off offers, add in free delivery and you get some cheap meals. But would never bother with UE otherwise, bloody rip off.

  • +3

Agree with the above sentiments about Uber Eats being a huge rip off compared to other food delivery services but I've been given 10 x $15off coupons recently so this is still a decent deal I guess.

    • Agree. The only reason I bought the gift card was because I got same offer as u :)

      • Remember to also sign up for the Uber Pass free trial too to maximise savings :)

  • Can this also be used for Uber rides?

    • +1

      Yes it can

  • Word of caution guys; Had 4 transactions rejected but funds held for over a week.

Uber uses an outsourced fulfilment service called launch giftcards so Uber themselves were of zero help. The gift card service eventually emailed back to say the payment gateway they use have been rejecting them and they "don't know why".

Had to raise a dispute with my credit card which released the funds. I ended up going to the shops for the cards and wasted a good amount of time.

  • Is it a physical card or just a code they email?

    • +1

Code. In the shopback app, not email

I bought it yesterday after activating the special $2 cashback. It still doesnt say it has been completed etc? How long does it take? In the past it was quite quick in letting me know i have got the reward.

    • Yeah, was almost instant for me, tracked within minutes. I never had issue with gift card though

      • Did you purchase yours recently or yesterday like lonewolf?

        • yesterday, when I posted this

@hanofee: Looks like some of us will be submitting enquiries sigh

@charzy: Did you get it resolved? Same situation here, no bonus:(

              • +1

@1000060: Nope will wait to see if they resolve.
I suspect they're using a batching system that failed sometime over the weekend, multiple cashbacks from different retailers failed for me

@charzy: Confirmed by GYB in this comment, we should give them one more day before spamming GYB haha.

$2 bonus didn’t track for my sister either

    • Looks like it has come through now

  • Can confirm that it's a rubbish newsletter, their contributors who advise you what to buy don't buy or hold the stocks themselves in 95% of cases.

They are all about hindsight, which is useless to investors.

I wouldn't subscribe if it was free.

    • Hey mate, I think you've got the wrong post 😅

  • Expired today? I was about to buy some…
