I hate these deals. I would go to scoopon, groupon etc etc if i wanted to see these deals. Sometimes there is amazing deals that should be posted here. This is certainly not one of them.

Does that really deserve a neg?

  • +2

You don't pay until Point of Sale. Not a group buying deal. coupon is free to download.. completely different then scoopon, groupon, etc.. not the same thing, please remove your neg as you have assumed it is a group buying deal

Your site is worse than other sites because your charge $1 minimum just to purchase the coupon (which you don't mention in your post.) This isn't your first waste of time, worthless post either. Neg remains.

      • No, we are giving away 5 free points to each person that signs up the Moment so no charge 5 free points on signup. and the $1 paid for coupon point is deducted from offer at Point of sale anyway so it becomes even better. Please check it as it is a great offer and there is no charge to get the coupon

so does that mean this deal is actually $5 (because you are giving us the $1 point free)? I actually like this system much better than the group buy site system.
Also please note rep, my coupon says valid until 21 march not 06-04-2012 as stated above.

      • Correct. :) This is a great idea for customers a they don't have to risk paying for offers until Point of Sale and the coupon point value is deducted from the offer always. Also if for any reason the offer is not honoured your coupon point gets returned to you. :)
Also Merchants can post better offers as we do not charge them anything, unlike the group buying sites that take up to 50% of the offer value. Suprised no positive votes?

      • Hi, escimojoe,Would be great to see your neg removed as it is for invalid reasons as I answered all your questions to your satisfaction.

        • -5

Nah my point is there is hundreds of these deals on a daily basis. If they are all posted to ozbargain, it makes ozbargain no better than these other "deal" sites. The deal your offering is just a standard deal like all the other websites. Offer something of unbelievable value then i wont neg it. (People can always neg my comments to oblivion if they don't agree with me.)

A coffee is usually a round $3.50 on it's own.. and you pay at point of sale, just $5 for all the above.. not sure how that is not a great offer.. :)
This is not a group buying deal.. totally different.. Beside's it' not fair to deprive others of a great deal if they travel to the city just becuase you have a biased opinion without any factual evidence

  • +1

Not going to neg, but your coupon system looks ridiculous. Have to buy a minimum of 5 coupons? No way

    • The 5 coupon points are valid for 1 year and can be used on any 5 coupons. the $1 is deducted at point of sale and you get it back.
At the start you get 5 free coupon points anyway so no need to pay anything. We actively look for deals with many representatives to find the best offers every day. and have to cover our costs with the $1 per coupon which comes back to you anyway at point of sale. The reason we do them in batches of 5 at a time is because $1 is too small a transaction to process. Hope that helps explain how it works. :)

Don't you think it's great to have an alternative to the current group buying sites? The merchants can also post much better deals a they are not sharing 30% to 50% of their profits with a site and the customers get better deals. Better for customers and better for business

Ok ozbargainers, so who's posting up an upload of this coupon?

Also please confirm is this expire on 21 March 2012 instead not in April?

    • +2

The Coupons are unique numbers and a copy will not be valid if used more than once. Besides it is free to download with your free coupon points. Merchants are able to decide exactly how many coupons they do so they don't get swamped. the deal expires 06 April

  • Interesting business model…So I assume that they make 1 dollar from every purchase that goes through - It limits their liability if the business doesn't pull through as you can refuse to pay for inadequate service at the point of sale…

We return the coupon point safely to your account to re-use if you turn up and the deal is not what you expected.

There is no need to fight with Groupon or scoopon or spreets, etc to get a refund as you have not paid for the offer until you get to point of sale. Zero risk for the cutomer and the merchant does not lose 30% to 50% of the offer and have to wait 30- 90 days to get their money. :)

could you please look into the date issue i raised earlier, as it states 21 march on the coupon.
thanks, always good to see an active rep on the forum.

  • +1

Yes, it is a small bug on the system and the coupon listing end date is showing up as the expiry date which is wrong. Apologies, it is a new site and we are still in pre-launch mode so some stuff still being fixed.

Any issues, you can email us and we will send you a confirmation of that.

    • no worries just thought id raise the issue, might be worth contacting the business to let them know of this so they don't turn anyone away.

      • Absolutely, we will do that. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

  • Just signed up to this site and got myself 4 vouchers. The expiry date is shown as 6th Apr 2012 now. Looking forward to try their big b/f and coffee. Thanks for sharing this info!
