    Thanks for the link upgrade.

  • Excellent price for the blender!
I was waiting for a sale for few months and didn't come across one. Sigh.
I bought a temporary one (NUTRI NINJA - BL682) a month ago which has been performing OK for now.

    • If you bought it from Costco you could take it back.

The Ascent mixers have the ability to buy individual smoothie containers and small bowls.

    • You still need to buy the starter pack that has the blade which is $175

      • In my case I bought an ascent that, already, had the blade. But for these ones yes you do.

  • Recently got this blender and it is amazing. Paid 50 dollars more but no regrets it was the best price at the time. Blends things amazingly and so much easier to clean (You basically blend some water with some dishwashing liquid) Means we free up lots of dishwasher space as well.

Got it after our Ninja blender CT682 literally fell apart just after warranty. Vitamix has a 10 year warranty and blends 100 times better. Think it can also heat soup but never tried that.

  • Every part of me wants to, but I’ve been told I’m obsessed with spending money so maybe she’s right if I’m thinking about spending $500 on a blender 😂

    • Difficult to say. I went through a few Breville blenders before I ponied up for my Vitamix. It hasn’t missed a beat in the years I’ve owned it. The other thing is it purées everything including seeds and skin. When I do my neapolitana sauce I just put in bunches of basil, quarter the tomatoes, then hit the blitz button. No more having to remove skin and seeds.

      • I have a sunbeam one right now, but its a food processor and a blender, so has two big attachments. But I dont use it much, Im wondering if it worked a bit better if I might use it more.
        Nice-cream sounds good!

        • I have a Magimix Food processor, which is brilliant, but it isn’t a great blender. I really had trouble justifying the Vitamix but I’m glad I did get it. We have smoothies most days and it works really well.

Both of these devices are expensive but I went through a lot of cheap versions before I bit the bullet. Haven’t regretted it.

When we designed our kitchen we got, extra, deep bench tops put in. It means all my appliances sit back on the bench ready to be brought forward when I want to use them. It makes it much more likely they will be used.
