  • Hi rep
Currently planning to renovate and transform ground level into an entertainmemt area. 100m2 inside and 30m2 outside.

How many speakers would i need to cover the whole area

    • Depends on what sort of music you pumping 🤔

      • You know, gotta be prepared for those post covid lockdown rave parties 🥳🥳🎊🎊🎉🎉

  • Thanks, was considering trying to make a wall outlet and wall Mount the satellites that came with my Yamaha… but this seems thoroughly easier and more elegant

  • I bought 4, wish soo much that I could afford another 10

These will pair really well with a multi-room audio RPi project I want to work on

    • I bought 8 lol, wanted 12 though

        • Currently planning to renovate. Read my comment above. Need enough to cover 130m2 entertainment space

    • What project?

  • Was about the checkout, but was too slow :(
    Think they only had 20.

  • could not check out. missed it.

  • 503 error. Website slow….

  • Got anything bigger? 8"?

    • Every inch counts.

    • +1

We have the Qi80CP which just got dropped to $129 each speaker!!

      • Good price for the performance 8". I recently bought a pair of the normal Qi80c for $195, but would have gone an extra $60 for the performance units.

        • +1

          Qi80CP a lot better than Qi80C?

        • What is difference between performance/non performance?

  • +2

Sell us more of the QB12 inch subs please 😢

  • Just did a second count and ONLY 5 left in stock!

Two for $189,RRP $399.Page 4 of their specials.

Something smells and it's not just FunkyDan.

    • +3

These are a different speaker. If you read the model number it will tell you this :)

      • Any idea how the qi65c compares to the klipsch cs16c ii?

      • -4

        They are the same speakers.
Model numbers are for single vs pair.
So much for any technical knowledge from your firm.
        FAIL! :(

        • +1

The specifications do differ between the two.
The woofer is the same size, however the tweeter is larger on the Qi65CP model. You'll also notice a difference in sensitivity, power handling and frequency range.
Different speaker if you ask me :) but dont take my word for it! Have a look on the Q Acoustics website!

          • +1

@FunkyDan: I certainly will not be taking your word for it.
Your TWO listings show the same details.Perhaps someone there could do better.
Similar with the 8" you are trying to get rid of.

          • @FunkyDan: For atmos would the cp make a noticeable difference ever the normal c range?

    • +1

      Hmm let me see this

  • Stupid covid … wish I could spend money right now

  • A handful of other Q Acoustics on sale on their page. Maybe wait an hour or two until their server load slows down.

  • We only have ONE speaker left in stock of the Qi65CP!

Alternatively, if you're after an 8" speaker we have just dropped the price on the Q Acoustics Qi80CP to only $129 each delivered (RRP $449/Last Sold $149)

As you saw, the smaller ones sold out VERY quickly, so don't miss out again on these!

    • Thanks @funkyDan.

I bought 5 of these as we are renovating our house so these will work great in the ceilings. Do you have a recommendation for an Amp to go with these?

      • Hi mate,
you could certainly look at something like the Onkyo TX-S383 (currently $488) if you're after something to run 5.1, otherwise you could go with the Onkyo TX-SR494 (currently $799) if you want something that could allow you to do Dolby Atmos in the future. Both great amps :)

  • +1

For those who missed out, the standard indoor "Rank Arena" speakers on the shed wall (in full weather) of our place are still pumping. Old photos suggest they were installed in 1970. So normal speakers are tougher than you think.

  • Are these easy to install? Or do you need an electrician?

    • There's no power involved, hardest thing would be running the cables through the wall and cutting the gyprock in the ceiling
