  I had a very strange experience using this Menulog promo yesterday. I ordered a dish around 4:40pm for pickup at 7:30pm from Mascot Fresh Kitchen. Dish was $15.90 so it came down to $8.90 after the voucher discount. Order status updated to confirmed within a few mins. At 6:55pm the order status then updated to 'Your food is ready for collection'. (I was thinking oh the restaurant must have cooked my food 35mins earlier than my scheduled pickup time!)

  However, when I go to the restaurant at 7:40pm, the dish wasn't there. The restaurant owner looked on his tablet for my Menulog order and said "Who let that order through". He was not happy. He then cooked the dish. When it was ready, he said that he will instant reject the order next time I use a voucher via Menulog because they don't make any money from Menulog (I assume he meant for this particular order).

  So this makes me wonder if this is why some of the restaurants with "Delivered by Restuarant" tag have opted out of this promotion because Menulog doesn't reimburse them for the discount?? Anyway this experience has made me very wary of using Menulog vouchers.

    Thankfully so far all my orders with vouchers were accepted by the restaurants (not this time round but previous offers). But I did notice that not all of them capture the voucher discount in the docket- some still register the full amount and some indicates the discount so I wonder if it's specific arrangements made between the business and Menulog on these sort of promos.
