Sendle Issues via eBay

Anyone else having issues generating a postage label for Sendle via Ebay?

I get the message "Something went wrong and we weren't able to generate the label", but it does not tell me what the something is.

I have made contact with Ebay customer service, who after 10 minutes said they will report to their technical department, and that it is happening to others also.

Each time I contact Ebay, they say to try again in 24 hours, but I just don't know if they are fobbing me off.

  • A sign to not use Sendle…Lucky you

I get the message "Something went wrong and we weren't able to generate the label", but it does not tell me what the something is.

Had this issue myself, at first I wasn't sure what the issue was, but then I worked it out. The buyer has put a PO Box in as the delivery address and well Sendle can't deliver to those, so the label can't be generated.

You HAVE to Auspost for PO boxes.

    • Massive fail from ebay/sendle to not give you that error if that's indeed the cause of the problem…

      • I guess ebay passes the 'details' over to Sendle to create a label and sendle is like yeah nah, we can't deliver to that place. Ebay is then like, oh something went wrong….. But I agree, should be a better error reporting and/or ebay shouldn't even offer Sendle as a postage option for PO boxes.

Be interesting to see if the OP is trying to deliver to a PO Box like my issue. I'm sure they're like me, and don't really 'care' what the address is, just create the label and post it.

  • Whenever eBay say they will refer the matter to their technical department you should know they are fobbing you off.

  • Most likely link between sendle and eBay is broken. Happened to me with ebay-auspost. I was still charged for the labels, noticed it because I tried several times to create a label for single order and went to check the order details.

Ebay refunded after I contacted them via chat.

  • Where does Sendle actually work? I signed up and it turns out it doesn't pick up from me (a suburb in Melbourne), although it services those suburbs surrounding me. It doesn't send to my mum in Bendigo. It doesn't send to someone I was going to send something to (NT). Why is it so hard to work out their coverage? The list of places I found suggested it could, but then it said no.

  • It's almost always an Address issue!
Go back to all your account settings and update your shipping addresses etc even if they look correct!

  • I WOULD DETER ANYONE OR ANY BUSINESS FROM USING THIS SERVICE. Their so called - CUSTOMER SERVICE is practically non existent ……. I have been deterred, mislead, & deceived by this inferior company. I have tried to contact a manager several times to try & discuss about the discrepancy - but no manager has had the decency to reply back to me ……. my case has gone on for a nearly a month. Therefore, I am about to cancel my Sendle account.
How do these companies survive ??
