10-20k Above Ground Pool (Best Bang for Buck?)

I hope to get a fully installed above ground pool. Max I could dish out is 10-20k. Maybe a bit more depending on what I can get. Is that price realistic?
Not interested in the cheap do-it-yourself style but a solid fibreglass or similar that will last forever. Needs to be installed and self standing.
Decking is prefered but price depending, I can go without it. Most important is that its fully installed and functional.

Can someone point me in the right direction and give me ideas, I have no idea at this point. Cheers.

  • For that type of money you might be able to get an inground pool.
Mine is huge and only cost a little more than your upper limit.

Our 8m x 4m in-ground pool cost $50.000 before extras and landscaping - total cost was about $100.000

I'm sorry what. you spent $100k on installing a pool?

Do you have pictures of the gold plating and hand carved marble statues that go with it, because that is way too much for any sort of pool.

        • No photo, but
Base price $65,000 which included 40 sq mt of bluestone paving $8,000
Solar heating & pool cover $8,500, Robotic pool cleaner $1,500,
Other costs, Landscaping $15,000, Glass fencing $8,000, Surcharge for glass pool tiles $5,000, Misc $7,000
          Soon adds up.

        Jesus you got scammed!

  • For me the above ground is better and gives me a bigger pool for cheaper (bang for buck).
I have been looking at the shipping container pools and really like the look of them.
The 40ft one is ideal. I can't find them under 30K however… Anyone know who does them cheaper?

    • Have you looked at plungie pools? Not sure what size you want but they might be an option. Concrete pools, set sizes, can be above or below ground.

The biggest they do is 6x3 and is $21k. Smaller sizes start from $13k.

Not sure how much extras are for delivery/installation etc then decking/landscaping would be on top too.

I don't understand people who spend money to put in a pool. I have one and it's just a money pit. I'd never buy a house with one again.

That’s why we live in such an interesting world. Everyone is different.

Pool = great if you have kids and warm climate. Pool not great if you live close to another source of swimming.

    • i don’t understand why some people like chinese food and others like greek food? Why do some people like xbox and others playstation?
