  • Black sold out, Only White 39 & 40 left as of now.

    • +3

only sizes 44 and 45 left

    • Are these as good as they are made out to be?

Kinda get the vibe they're overrated

      • They would be excellent if they didn’t have that basin type of design. It can become gross..

      • I wanted a pair for the longest time but 1) they are stupidly expensive even on sale. 2) they apparently dont hold up well w/ water

        • +1

They most certainly don’t hold up well with water.

The cork swells and the shoes are effectively ruined. If you like the style of this shoe but want something harder wearing, go for the EVA Gizeh - I have a 4 year old pair that have managed everything from the beach to mountain hikes (don’t ask lol) - 10/10 would recommend.

I love my cork soled birks too but I’m genuinely baffled as to why the EVA’s aren’t more popular - particularly here in Aus. They’re the more logical shoe.

@jackary: All black EVA just doesn’t have the appeal of the OG Jesus sandal aesthetic

            • @Jimothy Wongingtons: Really though? I get asked about my EVA’s all the time purely because they don’t look the same as the others. To each their own I guess!

              • @jackary: I actually did not mind the all white ones. Bit 100% see it getting irreversibly dirty within 2 trips out

                • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: I can’t speak for the white ones but I throw my EVA’s in the washing machine on cold cycle. Brings them up a treat! Can’t see why it’d be any different for the white ones? EVA isn’t porous so it shouldn’t hold stains like a pair of white sneakers etc

                  • @jackary: hmmm might get the white ones next time on sale then - my magic keyboard for ipad in white basically stains if you even get it slightly dirty and for the life of me cannot get it clean so just weary of anything all white now.

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Hmm… seems my comment was auto deleted. Not sure why!

Yep my Magic keyboard looks like trash too. :(

Give them a go! You can come back here and blame me if it all goes wrong. The cheapest place to buy them (even including sales) is on Catch - Only downside is that catch only go up to a 42. This may or may not be a problem for you. :)

      • They’re a great shoe but definitely overhyped. Get the no-name Kmart or Big W ones first to see if you like them :)
