and what is the delivery cost ?

    • I'm in Albert Park and delivery is $10.

      • Yup it's going to be $10 to all post codes.

    • +6

The delivery fee will be $10 with a minimum order of $50. Yes the store prices are the same in store we won't do a markup to mark down :)

      • Is the minimum $50 before or after discount?

        • After

  • +4

    Best Thai noodles in town!

      • +2

no, the person has only tried 1.. hence it's the best!

        i also think it's the best…

        • -4

          I've tried 2 and I think it's 2nd best…

          • +7

@jv: No one cares what you think JV.
That's why you get so many negs
            Hahahaha

    • Thanks so much mate πŸ‘ we hope to keep that soup boiling well in and out of lockdown.

  • +1

Best Thai Place in town. So can we use the pre order thing?

      • +6

That was a useless comment even by your standards

    • Thanks Mralvin again very much appreciate this support here. Yes the order needs to be placed as a pre order on the 27th for the delivery period of the 29th Sept till 10th of October.

    • Agreed. Awesome Thai!

  • +2

Can't get enough of Dodee's thai beef salad. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

  • -1

Is there a pick up? I work in CBD as non tradie.

      • +1

        Are you okay, jv?

        • Yep, I'm avoiding the CBD.

          • @jv: I am not :) our love for the CBD is still strong.

    • +1

There will be a walk in promotion soon we'll keep you posted

    • There is a 20% walk in order promotion till the end of the walk. Come in and take advantage of it at our Little Collins store.

      • +2

Ok, how long will your walk go for?

        • Till the end of the week sorry. But there will be a further walk in promotion to be announced soon.

  • +1

Taste is subjective and i love doodee, three shops in sydney are consistent in terms of taste

    • Let us know if you don't have a consistent meal with us. It's always hard to keep it consistent but we try our hardest.

  • The Tom Yum noodles from this place are absolutely (profanity) fantastic.
Wish I lived within delivery zone 😭

    • So sorry we can't sent outside those postcodes. We are working with Hakata Gensuke and they are delivering further than us.

The menu is knocked down and there isn't the discount but there will be a free Thai milk tea for all deliveries on their platform next week.

      Their link is below

  • Nice. Been eyeing this place for a while now.

  • I love Dodee! But wish this offer was also in Sydney

    • Sorry different birthdays for different branches. Hopefully they have one for each there in Sydney.

  • Any Melbourne people know how this compares to Soi 38??

    • Both good. This better.

    • Both good, but this place is better for eat in (back in the olden days).

  • -1

    Tiny portions

  • +1

Is store price 40% off too?

    • Sorry I don't understand the question?

      • Discount for walk in take-away too?

        • +1

That will be announced in another offer. This is specifically for the suburban.

  • When the food gets delivered is the soup, toppings and noodles all separated as I might order enough food for a few days and don't want soggy mushy meals but something I can keep in the fridge? thanks

    • +1

Hi, yes the noodles are uncooked and the wonton topping is separated from the soup. Feel free to keep it fridgerated or even frozen.

      • I picked a time slot and was adding items to my order and when I went to check out it said my time slot has sold out and all the time slots have now sold out. So sad :( will you release more time slots?

  • +2

No delivery to 3000? Is this only for delivery?

    • +3

Yes this is a suburban delivery special. We currently have 20% off walk in orders.

There will be a promo for CBD customers to be announced soon.

  • Hi just wondering how do I get the 40% off? after I ordered and make the payment on payment page still remain the original price showed???

    • Need to apply any coupon code?

    • "Place a suburban delivery order on the 27th of September"

      • My area is 3802, only have the few date for me to select, which I choose 26th (Sunday), anything wrong with it?

        • Yeah, 26th is not the 27th and today the 25th is STILL not the 27th.

    • Hi sorry you need to place the order on Monday the 27th of September.

  • yasssss

  • +1

Be prepared to build another kitchen. Good deal.

    • LOL your support is inspiring that idea.

  • I know the order has to be made on the 27th, but the delivery time slot (at the moment) is pretty vague - 4:00pm - 7:00pm??
Will we be able to at least pick an "hour" range on the 27th?

    • I don't think so. To make this worthwhile they are obviously doing a huge amount of deliveries in one hit. I'm guessing they may send you an ETA closer to the day.

    • +1

Sorry the drivers service other restaurants and bulk orders its impossible to tell even within the hour when it will come due to so many factors. Distance is obviously the main one.

  • Are you guys halal?

    • Sorry we aren't. Due to the fact our main speciality dish is pork based. Maybe in the future.

  • +1

Awesome, will be ordering for sure.

    • Thank you. Your keeping our doors open.

      • No time slots this morning. If you are limited the amount of orders per day you should have stated in the OP.

  • Why no 3082? Just a stones throw away from 3083 :(

    • -1

Unfortunately we don't determine which postcodes the drivers go too. Is it possible if you can share with someone in those available postcodes

  • +1

Keen to order, best thai place I've been to hands down.

I highly recommend the green curry, pineapple fried rice and pad thai.

  • Hi Op, does the discount also apply to orders for Chang Bakery & frozen hakata gensuka products available from your website?

    • +1

Good question but unfortunately not. It's because we only get a commission for selling this products. So we will remove them for that day.

  • -1

Hi,is that your order over $100 if free delivery ? And what don’t have Monday 4/10and Tuesday5/10 for delivery ?

    • Sorry we don't have free delivery during this period as the discount will exceed 50% if we do. The discount is not live it will be live at midnight tonight.

  • +5

I've just had a delivery from these guys.
    A few notes:
-Arrived at room temperature in a plastic bag. Not Hot or cold, so I'm unsure if it's safe to eat. No way to know when it was made or how long it sat in the drivers car.
-Driver left the food sitting in the sun in my driveway.
-Driver not wearing a mask. (Seen in security camera)

I was expecting something similar to what the Chinese restaurants are doing in the city. Delivering refrigerated food that you then heat up/cook/assemble yourself.
Was also expecting it to be delivered with care in a box.

    • Hi, sorry the delivery is outsourced so I'll speak to the service owner to ensure there is an improvement on this service.

The food is cooked two hours before it arrives at your door. It is safe and we have been doing this service since the first lockdown last year.

If you think from our point of view how is it possible to refrigerated this amount of food ? Would you be comfortable putting it with raw food in the fridge?

Either way my point is your happy or your not happy with the service this is what we do.

We are however changing our packaging and how we are presenting food. But at this point at 40% off we aren't changing anything yet.

      • +3

Hi, sorry the delivery is outsourced so I'll speak to the service owner to ensure there is an improvement on this service.

Hi, thanks a lot for your reply. Good idea.

The food is cooked two hours before it arrives at your door. It is safe and we have been doing this service since the first lockdown last year.

That's reassuring, thanks, but there was no way for me to know that before you wrote it here. As for how to store cooked food, I'm sure you could come up with something. Many restaurants are doing it.

Either way my point is your happy or your not happy with the service this is what we do.

This seems like a strange attitude for a business in a competitive market to have.
I'm somewhat happy with the service. There's room for improvement.

We are however changing our packaging and how we are presenting food. But at this point at 40% off we aren't changing anything yet.

I paid full price, but even if I had gotten 40% off, that would not mean I'd accept an inferior service.

Perhaps my expectations are too high.
Interested to hear from other ozbargainers.

I hope you don't take your experience like it's the majority.

It is your opinion and your entitailed to it.

But from my opinion and what I am getting fed back from other customers they are satisfied.

If you can compare with other Thai restaurants where the pricing is similiar. I think that's a more fair comparison.

          • +2

@Kaboda: If you were around the corner from me and delivering directly to me, I'd be 100% satisfied.
You are offering delivery to a large area of Melbourne and food has arrived at room temperature in my case.

I think you should at a minimum attach a label to the bag with the time that the food was cooked.

            • @Arigato: I am sorry the last time you ordered there was nothing attached.

We have left instructions on how to cook the noodles and instructed all hot food to be reheated. The somtum sauce is also separated. There are improvement and we are trying to make further improvements.

I personally haven't has an income for at least three months so it's pretty hard financially and we are trying to survive with what we got. I want you to know things are tough and we are trying our best. I hope you do order and if your not satisfied let me know we want satisfied customers.

          • +4

Either way my point is your happy or your not happy with the service this is what we do.

Wow, this is kinda disappointing tbh. Arigato wasn't criticising your business unfairly or even asking for a refund, rather giving pretty constructive feedback. Many businesses do manage to refrigerate that amount of food btw, but okay, since this isn't a ready-to-heat product, I get why the food isn't refrigerated. But delivered food usually arrives hot or chilled, not room temperature, so it's a pretty reasonable point to raise, right?

I get that your business may be struggling financially but telling customers "that's your opinion" and "this is what we do" and dismissing their concerns because "other customers are satisfied" really isn't the best way to retain them.

  • Thanks. Arigato. For sharing your experience.

  • Do the seafood noodles uses meat as well?

    • In Duoka if its the stir fry noodles and not our Tom Yum noodles they will only contain what you choose for example Pad Kee Mow Seafood will just contain Seafood and noodles.

  • I just placed an order and got a delivery time frame of 4-7pm. Will we be notified with a more accurate ETA on the day of our delivery? Since I'm living in an appt, if they just leave the food at the front like others have said, it is likely someone else will take it (this has happened to me before with another delivery service when the driver did not notify me that the food was delivered) so it would be nice to know when to expect it so I can wait for it out front.

    • +1

Hi, they will send a sms an hour before and one when their closer. PM me if you have any issues.

  • Super excited! I do wonder when you say 'medium spicy' umm is that from a Thai person? Like I always asked for extra mild, spicy toothpaste and ice is real. Which heat level do you reccomend for me?

    • Hi Anastasia,
I would say if you haven't tried our restaurant go conservative the first time. Maybe medium never heard of extra mild before.

      Thanks
      Boon

  • Looks like all time slots are booked out. Will you be releasing any more delivery times?

    • +5

So sorry it went nuts at midnight.

We may and if we do I'll PM you. We have to review the orders now to see if we can accommodate any more.

      Borden was hard at work.

      • I was in the middle of placing an order and my selected timeslot got sold.. Selected another time and as I was checking out that errored because it was sold too!

        Sad. Missed out!

      • Can you please PM me as well if you do open up more slots?

      • Could you please PM me too if there is any more availability?

        • Will do ill prioritise those by time who have missed out.

          • @Kaboda: @Kaboda: Missed out again 😒

            • @iamgroot: So sorry about that stay in touch we will try after this promo to accommodate something else.

  • Sold out already until 10th October

    • Not even the 10th is left.
Either a bug or people really keen on Thai food…

      • +1

Sorry we limited 100 orders a day just so we could manage. We may open up the days bur we need to review the orders first.

        • Hi.

Please DM me also if you are able to accomodate further orders.

          Kind Regards,

          • @Ravecoon21: Can you please try now more slots have opened.

  • All sold out…… Can't imagine it would be that quick.
