i think its more of there are "Special Bandai events" in Japan in which each event has limited-edition releases of previously released gunplas in alternate colours or effects, often transparent or special coatings.
They are only available for purchase at that particular time and place and cannot be bought through other official stores.
Such of which some examples the one Hobbyco is selling.

yea i just spent around 400 on kits and robot spirits line on HobbyCo site yesterday. Heres hope they do have a store-wide sale!
I kinda miss going into their QVB store, almost like a wonderland with like planes at the top and train track diromas, although I am based in Melbourne.
