The email shows CashRewards Day event is 28-29 Sep, but seems like the referral bonus has already been increased to $20 for both referrer and referee (from $10).

Enjoy referring your mate and getting bonus!

Please use the random referral system below to register to qualify the bonus.

Refer a Friend Program Promotion Terms

The Refer A Friend Promotion commences 10:00 AEST on 27 September 2021 and ends at 23:59 AEDT on 29 September 2021. This period of time between the Opening Time and the Closing Time is referred to in these terms as the Promotion Term.

If you are a member of the Service in good standing during the Promotion Term, you can be an advocate for the Service and in the process earn a twenty dollar ($20.00 AUD) referral bonus for each qualifying Referral that you make to the Service (each, a “Referral Bonus”). For purposes of this paragraph, a qualifying “Referral” means:

  • any new, unique individual, who is not a member of your household (including yourself),
  • who is eligible to be a member of the Service in accordance with the terms, conditions, and restrictions of the Terms Of Use,
  • who registers for the Service for the first time and has not previously registered for the Service, whether with the same member information or otherwise, and may not be a fraudulent, fictitious or duplicate account,
  • who uses a referral link that is provided by us as part of the Refer a Friend Promotion and shared by you (the “Unique Referral Link”), and
  • who makes at least one single Qualifying Purchase (transaction) of at least twenty dollar ($ 20.00 AUD) including GST through the Service within ninety (90) days after signing up as a member of the Service (for each Referral made by you, the “Referral Bonus Threshold”).

A “Qualifying Purchase” means any purchase through the Cashrewards system in line with the prevailing terms and conditions which results in cashback to the member.

All subscription services, digital services and surveys including but not limited to iTunes, Woolworths Gift Cards and Audible are expressly excluded from this promotion.

We retain the right to add / remove other stores from this promotion at our discretion. The Referral Bonus will become Available Earnings in your Program Account at the time a Referral is credited with Approved Earnings for the transaction that achieved the Referral Bonus Threshold. The Referral Bonus is your sole and exclusive compensation for directing a Referral to the Service.

As part of the Refer a Friend Promotion the Referral who makes at least one single Qualifying Purchase (transaction) of at least twenty dollar ($ 20.00 AUD) including GST through the Service within ninety (90) days after signing up as a member of the Service will also be entitled to receive a twenty dollar ($20.00 AUD) bonus.

  • Got the email just wondering will it works with Amazon gift card?

    • Should work if it's from CR gift card portal. But definitely not from Amazon.

      • "Tell a friend about Cashrewards and you’ll both get a $20 bonus once they make their first transaction of $20 or more."

So only needs my friend to do $20 or more, right?

May buy more Amazon gift card from CR for my unshipped drum kit.

        • Yes only referee is required to make a $20+ purchase

  • Confirmed it's $20. Thanks OP, hope I can get the bonus without issues.

The referral links section on this page is still showing "$10 for referee and $10 for referrer, after referee makes $20 purchase within 90 days."?
The promotion has not started yet?

    • +2

nothing to do with what is showing here

    • The description on Ozbargain needs to be manually updated by someone everytime there's a boosted referral promo. I'll change it now and will set a reminder in my personal calendar to change it back once the deal expires.

  • will the referee be able to withdraw the bonus $20 easily? shopback referee can only withdraw the bonus after accumulating $10 cashback

    • +2

      much easier with CashRewards

  • Hi all.. can the referee be family?

    • No problem I don't think they care, I will refer my wife.

I need to find a friend who doesn't know about CR.

    • Put leaflets in your neighbourhoods letterboxes with passive aggressive post it notes, should get the message across :)

    • +5

Sick and tired of getting chewed out by people i refer.

Interesting. Please note I have your details from previous correspondence and I see no referrals in your CR acct whatsoever. Do you have more than one CR acct?

Anyway, can you please drop the link here of exactly what your 'friend' purchased from Amazon and also date of purchase. Please also advise the category you believe it was meant to be. Or if it's easier, a ticket number will do. I'll be able to provide evidence of eligibility and transparency of the claim. Thanks.

      • TA it's not a "friend" but my sister who I referred to cashrewards for free as I didn't use a referral code.

        This is the item purchased:

        https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09FLBQ5T3/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt…

As can clearly be seen the category is

        ALL

Clothing, shoes & accessories > women > shoes > slippers

        1st ticket number is 570437

Cashrewards rep claims its home category!!!

        2nd follow up ticket 570051

Cashrewards rep again claims Its home category!!!

        Whats's going on???

        • Hi again, really appreciate the info :)

Ok, please let me start by saying that Samia responded to your ticket 3 hours ago and honoured the cashback in good will. By good will, please allow me to explain. You can see from this screenshot that Amazon obviously categorised the product incorrectly as 'home'. Amazon does not honour claims where categories may not be what members expect them to be. Trust me, I totally understand the frustration and we've been banging on about this issue with them forever. It's not just an issue for us, but every Amazon affiliate partner worldwide.

We're hoping something is done soon by Amazon to fix this, whether it be a URL checker or some form of popup that notifies members exactly what category items belong to before purchase. I'm unsure however what priority they place on this right now. So whilst we understand precisely how you feel, we can only report transactions to members exactly how Amazon reports them to us. I hope I've helped explain as best I could.

Should you have further concerns, feel free to PM me direct. I thank you for your time.

          • @tightarse: TA where did you get that screenshot from?

            What browser/device are you using?

What is the link as we don't get that.

If you click on the link i gave you it clearly shows:

Clothing, shoes & accessories > women > shoes > slippers

On firefox, chrome, opera browsers and different devices.

Prior to purchase she always checks the category and it was the above stated category prior to purchase.

She has a screen shot to prove it which she has submitted with her tickets.

It is also the product link in her amazon order history.

TA i've referred a number of friends and family for free and particularly this year almost every amazon transaction they have made has had issues:

Incorrect categories that have later been found to be correct.

When more than one of the same item ordered in the same transaction cashback given for only one.

            Bonus cashbacks not awarded correctly.

            They are seriously over it!

As a result cashrewards gets a bad rep and i have to deal with the blowback.

Thanx for helping out in this case TA.

            Rant over.

            • @prxy: It's a pleasure - I'll always try to be as transparent as possible. I've just responded to your sister's ticket. In summary:

Simply open Chrome, paste Terry Towelling Slider Slippers, Open Toe Slippers, Memory Foam Fuzzy Slippers into the Amazon search bar, then from the results, select the $33.33 product and you should see the details.

The bold category at top left is almost always the category that Amazon reports to us.

PS: Let's move this discussion to PM if you have any further questions/concerns :)

              • +1

@tightarse: Why is cashrewards doing that you are getting the incorrect product mate.

What she ordered according to her amazon order purchase history is this product:

Terry Towelling Slider Slippers, Open Toe Slippers, Memory Foam Fuzzy Slippers, Soft Flat Comfy Arch Support Slippers Sandals for Women (37,White)

                https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09FLBQ5T3/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt…

                Brand: LMNH

What you've done is linked to a different product from a different brand and price that my sister did not purchase:

Terry Towelling Slider Slippers for Womens, TIK Tok Open Toe Slippers, Memory Foam House Slippers with Arch Support (43,White)

                https://www.amazon.com.au/Towelling-Slider-Slippers-Womens-S…

                Brand: Gentles

Doesn't cashrewards get a link to the actual amazon product url as part of the order referral?

How does cashrewards confirm product category?

Do cashrewards just perform a general amazon search with a product name?

What if two products have the same name which in this particular case is different anyway?

                • @prxy: Hi again. We have no idea what the member has purchased once they buy from Amazon. We can only go by the category that Amazon reports to us, and in the case of your sister, they reported that she purchased a 'Home' product. All we (Cashrewards) can do upon receiving a claim from your sister (after the fact), is try to match up the product against what's on Amazon's site. And even if Amazon got it wrong, they won't accept the claim. I'm just in the process of responding again to your sister with a screenshot of her CR acct, showing exactly what Amazon reported the sale as.

Doesn't cashrewards get a link to the actual amazon product url as part of the order referral?

Definitely not. As above, Amazon reports the sale based on whatever category they have a product listed under.

Anyway, closing this out now. Please PM or respond via the ticket for further clarification. Cheers.

  • My friend signed up and spent $50 on Coles gift card (for $0.05 back)
Will he be able to withdraw $20.05 including the bonus?

  • How long does it take for the bonus to appear in account?

    • It's immediate. If you don't have it, it likely means you self referred or terms weren't followed. Please see here.

  • The link at the bottom of the Referral Page
Has different Terms to your link.

No mention there of the above mentioned "member of your household" restriction.

You might want to change that to avoid confusion.
