Mercedes EQA 250 Range (Differences between UK and Australia?)

What actually is the range of Mercedes EQA. The Aussie website claim that its 502km but the UK website of Mercedes claim it to be 424km. Check this out

Mercedes UK
Mercedes Australia

That's a huge difference. Any comments?

    Different countries use different measuring methodologies.

  • Australia:

    range figures are determined by testing under standardised laboratory conditions in accordance with ADR 81/02

    UK

    The indicated values were determined according to the prescribed measurement method – Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP)

    And the EQA on the Australian website only quotes 400km (250miles) range, not 502km???

    • They used to quote 400 but now its 502

      • I just looked it up 2 mins ago and it says 400km for me…

        • If you go to available vehicles it shows 502, maybe there's an error

            @fsid: Again…

            Range information is indicative only and has been determined by the Certification Process Technical Service in accordance with UN / ECE Regulation No. 101.

            Again, another different range calculation method used…

            On another note;
            Holy shit, 8.9seconds 0~100km/h?? That's terrible for an expensive EV marque brand like MB. To put it in perspective, its about 0.1 seconds faster than a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser. About 0.3 seconds faster than a 2012 Holden Cruze. It's slower than a 1971 Datsun 510 or a 2014 Fiat 500 Pop. It is beaten by the MG ZS EV, ffs. The Kia Nero and Hyundai Kona blow it out of the water by almost 3 seconds.

            Just don't go pulling out in front of any large trucks…

            • @pegaxs:

              its about 0.1 seconds faster than a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser

              Ouch! Wasn't that same lame 3 speed auto as well?

            @fsid: It wouldn't be the first quality issue (or lie) related to German performance metrics, they were part of the diesel defeat device controversy.

  • OT what are people's views/predictions/opinions on MB electric-range reliability?

    Doesn't matter what they say, in the real world their claimed numbers are seldom, if at all, achievable.

    • Exactly. When was the last time anyone got close to what petrol or hybrid cars claim as their consumption?

      • All the time in my car. Claim is 5.9 extra urban and that's exactly what I get as long term average. I'm 95% flat highway driving.

        • My car doing urban is 0.2L off the sticker. I drive pretty hard and have upgraded tyres too.

          • @plmko: I do 40% highway and 60% around town and i'm 0.4 off the official claim

  • Does anyone honestly believe the quoted range figures from manufacturers?

    Sorta like
