Mercedes 2018 C200 Specs

What does factory fitted AMG Exclusive Package and Command Package include?

    Don't buy a C200, they're stupidly weak 1.5L engines.

Command package is the head unit upgrade with GPS, voice and other infotainment features. May or may not include speaker upgrades depending how it was specced from new.

"AMG Exclusive" is fake badges and trims to make it look a bit better although not as much as a C63. May or may not include seat upgrades depending how it was specced from new.

Have a look at the 2021 specs for an idea of what may be included: https://www.mercedes-benz.com.au/passengercars/mercedes-benz…

    • it says 4 Cylinder, 2.0 Litre

Are there even any German mid-size sedans with 1.5 L engines?

Seems they shifted from 2017's 2L to 2018's 1.5L. Both output paltry 135 kW with the new 1.5L having less torque oomph at higher RPM.

Either case, weak engine that's embarassing on a supposedly "premium" vehicle.

I love Mercs, I've had a few, but buying the cheap engine option isn't the way. Personally. To each their own.

In the city, you rarely ever go over 60-70 km/h so it's not the worst thing. Even in the west, 100 km/h is only on the tolled highways.

@Orico: It's not about top speed. It's about stop/go grunt and having a smooth ride throughout. There's a huge difference in driving dynamics between a C200 and C300. I have personal experience of same gen E250 vs E350 and ML280 vs ML320.

There can also be a difference in the suspension, steering, ECU modes etc between models as well as other features and tech. It's not just a different engine plonked in, you're buying a lower spec car overall yet premium price.

Hover over the options and it'll give you a list.

A large dose of badge envy from your neighbours and family.

From me - a smile, that you have overpaid for a poorly performing, badly supported, average looking car.

      • hyperbole

i'm not saying the c200 is the best car for $60k but they drive a lot nicer than most cars out there that arent exotic

of course that's not saying much, i expect a $60k car to drive nicer than a $30k car but going by the specs alone, its 135kW 300Nm driving 1,465kg… its 0-100 in 7.2 - this is more than enough performance for most people.

If it's anything like the AMG A200, it will have "all the bells and whistles."

akin to BMW 316i with M badges

My Kia hatchback makes more power, AMG badges wont make premium poverty benz any better.

  • This will be my third Mercedes 2 door coupe, I change every 3 to 5 years, only ever 2 passengers, don't use back seat or give a stuff about engine size or speed as 95% driving is around town (max speed limit is 100k per hour here), have found them to be well finished, very reliable and service costs for low 10,000 kms per year user very reasonable, use non Mercedes dealer mechanics (5 bays) who specialise in Euro cars. Really like the shape of this model but not the 4 door C200 my mate owns.

This diamond white C200 has 2.0L donk, has done a mere 17,000 kms and comes with these options:

AMG 19" wheels, Blind Spot Detection and Auto Emergency Braking.

    COMAND Package (C/ GLC Class)
    - Inbuilt Harddisk Drive
    - Internet Connectivity via Paired Device
    - 13 Speaker Bermester System
    - Digital Sound Processing
    - Voice Recognition

    Smartphone Integration
    - Smart Device Integration - Android Auto
    - Smart Device Integration - Apple CarPlay

    Vision Package (C Class)
    - Headlamp - High Beam Auto Dipping
    - Headlamps - Active (Cornering/steering)
    - Fog Lamps - Front
    - Information Display - Head Up
    - Sunroof - Electric

So if your a boy racer or non Mercedes lover or must have 4 doors or bigger engine that is a choice, I just wanted to know what the AMG Exclusive Package is that is on this car. By the way car is coming from interstate dealer and arrives soon too FNQ.

    • You need to use google, not ask on a bargain website where the majority of members would never buy one and actively diss them.

    • AMG Exclusive looks to be an interior upgrade pack. Google it and you should get an idea of the improvement it brings.

  • In simple terms.

AMG - not much. It's not an AMG. Floor mats with AMG written on them and a few minor other bits. Body kit, front brakes and rims, that's about it.

Command - head unit features. Satnav, and assuming it has reported UPG sound system. Not much else. Slightly larger screen.

    That's it.

    • No. Some has a firmer suspension setup or bigger brake discs. Depends on the car, and year of the car.

Maybe re-read my post… Looks like your name is holding up, true to form…

        Thats pretty much what I'd stated… :)

        • AMG Package, like the ///M Sport thing is whatever they decide it is depending on the model and the year.

Its a selling tool, nothing more.

Just decide whether the $x,xxx is worth it given what you get.

I'm putting it out there that for some people firmer suspension and and brake work isnt worth shit given their application.

  • Ok then nothing to get excited about, thanks for the input.

  • Had the white 2018 Mercedes C200 with 18,000 kms on the clock for a 6 weeks now, love the shape, it's very comfortable, enjoying all the options inc. te Burmester audio system, and it has all the power we need as seniors
Sure 2 door coupe not for all and last one a C180 very rarely used back seat, took leisurely drive Cairns to Port Douglas last weekend loved every minute of it even in comfort mode!.
