    22 x Tier 1 390w Panels
    5 kW SAJ WiFi Inverter

How do you manage this oversizing?

    • Just glue them on the roof as spares, they didn't say they were getting connected :P

    • +2

      Oversizing how sorry?

You've confused me there, the offer above is for the 9.9kW. With the 9.9 system, the 8kW inverter is offered.

EDIT; My apologies, i see what you mean. This system you mention shold have the 8kW inverter attached. I will notify out IT team to amend this.
Thank you for mentioning this to me

  • Little bit confused with the title and description… is it $3999 as per the title or $3699 as per the description?

    • hey mate, my apologies, i have edited it a couple of times, it is $3,999.

i copied the wording from our 6.6kW deal and it keeps changing it back to the $3,699

  • -1

I believe you'll need three phase connection to you property for system of this size.

    • Im sorry to say that is incorrect, there are 8kW single phase inverters available as well.

      • But the maximum output is capped at 5KW for single phase (NSW)?

Where are your privacy policy, warranty statement, detail of payment plan, price guarantee, and terms & conditions?

    • Hey mate, these statements are provided with the quotations and proposals that we give out to our clients.

      • The payment plans are depicted on the specifications of the complete system
      • The warranty statement is given as a complete package with the other warranty forms which are also depicted by the components that our clients use.
      • The terms and conditions are also subject to the property & system types, the T&C's are personally written for each individual situation as every scenario is different
  • You have mentioned SAJ inverter on your website - I dont see many review of SAJ and neither are they mentioned on solar quotes https://www.solarquotes.com.au/solar101.html

Can you comment on their quality from your experience?

  • From our experience the SAJ have been consistent. They back their product for 10yrs. What we have found is that our clients also choose to go with the Goodwe inverter (by reputation) hence we have added the goodwe into this package

  • I will be in touch, my house will settle in 2 months and I need it installed soon after that.

    • Hey mate,

No problem at all. We are happy to help. We hope your settlement runs smoothly

    • +2

I'd pay more for a reputable seller. Especially if you're buying a new house.

      • Thanks for the suggestion. What would be better configuration? I have spoken to 2 vendors so far. Both of them suggested Q cells and GoodWe inverter with an extra 2k price tag on top of this. I will read about the panels in this post

      • hey mate,

thats completely understandable. As shown in other posts, we do have another company that has the higher price tag for the same system. The difference is the in house consultation. We have found a lot of people are just looking for "the best price" and don't care for some of the personal services on offer with our other company and also other companies for that matter.

        You can't please everyone unfortunatetly.

Has anyone ended up installing from them with the other deal or any experience?

Are installations subcontracted out or handled internally?

    • +1

      hey mate,

all of our staff are employed by the company, this includes our office staff, operations manager, labourers, electricians. We do not out source any of our solar work

  • +2

Your company keeps calling me twice a week although i got my number on do not call register and advised everytime to stop calling even if i needed solar will not go with synergy solar due to this reason only

    • +1

When you have an existing relationship with a company, the Do Not Call Register does not apply. You have given your consent to this company to contact you when you filled in the enquiry form.

What does it mean to have ‘consent’ to call or fax someone?
Telemarketing calls and marketing faxes may still be made or sent to individuals who have expressly agreed to receive them, or where this consent can be reasonably inferred from their conduct and business or other relationships.

Despite what the rep tried to imply, this company's Privacy Policy was unavailable to view until I asked for it. That, and all the other information that it kept from public disclosure, said a lot about how this company operates. It is difficult to make an informed decision when so much vital information are undisclosed.

      LIFETIME WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY
Not getting the savings advised on your next electricity bill after install? Live stress free with our 100% Money Back Guarantee!!

They won't show you the lifetime warranty or the 100% money back guarantee until you become their client.

You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.

You need to withdraw your consent in writing before the DNC Register can handle your complaint. I think their clause (requiring a written notice) contravenes the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 but it will need to be tested in court.

    • +1

      hey mate,

So you must have us mixed up with another company. I handle all the calls personally. I have not been told to 'stop calling'.

      • Are you sure you don't have an outsourced call centre? I have been so annoyed that reconfirmed with them where they are calling from and they stated synergy solar i also submitted complain on do not call register with the numbers they usually call from

        • +1

i am sure mate, so the only number we have is our 1300 273 185. If someone were to ring that number and the office dont pick up, it has the option to leave the voicemail. It also gets redirected to my personal mobile number.

I call all clients personally off of my mobile

          • @Nathan94: Cool i guess then there are more synergy solar named companies just googled and can find one more with website synergy.net.au selling similar product in perth and WA

            • +1

@azee666: you're probably right there. We apologise for the mix up but i can assure you that is not us.

That is not how we conduct our business

  • Is it really a bargain if the discount is below 5%? At what point does this just become effectively free advertising?

    • Hey mate, so the original price is $4,200. Being that the deal is also for the upgraded Goodwe inverter at $3,999. The deal offered is a little more than the 5% discount.

      Cheers

      Nathan

I heard this in regards to Goodwe, true?

But one of the things that sets the better ones apart from the rest is the way they honour those warranties. Fronius operate in Australia and will replace it for you immediately. Goodwe requires you to send the inverter to their factory in China for assessment before honouring the warranty. It means rather than be without solar for a few days it can be a few months.

    • hey mate,

this depends on the how to components are bought by the business.
We on't import our products, we buy them through Australian retailers, which means that the warranty process is completely different. I am more than happy to confirm this for you, although we have not yet had a problem with this situation

  • Bit of an update for anyone who is curious like I was about this seemingly new player in the solar game.

After the previous post @ www.ozbargain.com.au/node/654010 I've ordered and placed a deposit on a similar system config to this one with Synergy, albeit with 10kW of Jinko panels and 3 phase Goodwe inverter for an install inside 14 days.

I note that plenty have been quick to judge Synergy Solar based mainly on the lack of runs on the board from this relatively new spin off from their existing full service solar company. Whilst I obviously haven't had the system installed yet, I've been impressed by Nathans seemingly genuine responses and have always been appreciative of a good entrepreneurial spirit, so can report that my emails and conversations with Synergy have been promptly and politely addressed, and revealed a thorough understanding of the solar landscape. Nathan was flexible and attentive with my install requirements, put some concerns to bed by affirming that they don't subcontract installs and was knowledgeable and candid about my queries.

For anyone who, like me, is looking to maximise bang for buck on a solar install and minimise the return on investment period, I recommend you do some reading (lots of good info on https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/143?g=371 and https://www.solarquotes.com.au/), check out https://app.getpylon.com/ and have a play for an hour or two to see what configurations you can fit on your roof space (utilise any northern aspect, with anything across the northern hundred an eighty degrees between east and west having merit for maximising generation). I understand the frequent advice about paying a premium for someone who's been in the game for five plus years so they can be accountable for warranty or repairs, but I was very happy with the information from Nathan, and if after doing your own homework and being confident in your research, they may hit the value proposition sweet spot for you too.

Again, I'm not affiliated in any way - but have been looking to dip my toe in the solar market for the past couple years and felt that I knew enough about what setup I wanted to forgo the usual sales rep/installer callout to spec up a system and save some overheads on what I think is one of the best value systems we've seen promoted in here. It's obviously early days, but in the absence of any positive or negative reviews, I'll report back with photos of the install, as well as the output from the system once it's been commissioned.

    • +1

Thanks for the update - I am also evaluating Synergy at the moment. Nathan has been great with responding to emails promptly with questions.
Also looking at around 13kW of Jinko panels and Fronius inverter.

    • Of all the quotes I've received, this is the only one that placed all of the panels on the south and south west lower storey, which will be shaded significantly by the upper storey. This is presumable to get the cheapest quote. I would have gladly paid more for appropriate layout and additional costs (e.g. second storey surchage).

Maybe if you have standard single storey roof, but anything else buyer beware of these amateurs.

      • I've received four quotes before going with Synergy, two of which suggested installs using a south-west aspect when i had available north-west and north-east real estate. I supplied my own preferred layout which I'd formed after plenty of online research, the aforementioned quotes and some playing on pylon and nearmaps. After running it by their techs and getting the green light, they provided a quote based on my preferred design.

I don't know what information or instruction you provided before receiving your quote, but in defence of installers recommending variations of south-based installs and of those impacted by shade, the old thinking of only utilising north facing aspects is somewhat redundant now with the existence of bigger systems, more efficient panels and inverters with multiple strings / MPPT which operate somewhat independently. In the case of south-facing or shade-impaired area, whilst such panels will not produce optimum generation, so long as impacted panels share the one string / MPPT, only those panels will drop uniformly in terms of energy production during impacted times. The ability to configure strings / MPPT efficiently is arguably more important than ironclad orientation / shade avoidance.

I'm far from an expert in this space, but as stated in my preview, if you've got the time and nous to do some of your own research on panel config, Synergy's pricing is very sharp (no doubt in part due to the lower overheads from not having to engage every enquiry through a detailed installation and site measure) and I found them very attentive to my needs so far. On paper they seem a very viable option for people in a similar situation and I look forward to seeing whether my faith is justified after the install next week.
