Looking really good. Tempted to ask the gf to buy 2 and get $30 off through afterpay sign up offer…
Or triple pack for $60 :-)

  • I bought the clear tops last deal, and they are definitely good quality /thumbsup. Gonna use them to put together a couple of 1st aid kits.

FYI: They have an 'aftersell' deal for those clear tops (Save $10).

AFTERSELL-KU92RJIA was mine, may work for you.

A couple of decent sales deals.

Be careful though, the website lists the same items for different prices…
    Canvas Bag + Light:
    $35 - https://www.cooeecanvas.com.au/products/canvas-bag-with-led-…
    $39 - https://www.cooeecanvas.com.au/products/minmin-led-camp-ligh…

    Triple Canvas Pack:
    $60 -https://www.cooeecanvas.com.au/products/triple-pack-explorer-bags
    $100 - https://www.cooeecanvas.com.au/products/canvas-explorer-bags…

  • Picked up the Large Explorer bag for $25, then the Mini Clear Top bag for $15 using the same 'aftersell' method as TogTogTogTog. Looking forward to them, even though I don't won't need a camping bag for months…

  • Put the duffel back on sale pleeeeasssee :-))

  • G'day, I bought the Kapooka duffel bag from the last deal. It arrived promptly but I was looking on the inside to see if there were any large holes. There weren't but I also noticed quite a few pinholes of light that did get through. Is this to be expected with canvas or is it a problem with the product I received?

Sounds to my like sewing machine needle stitching holes ( I used to work sewing canvas and leather goods as my first full time job ).

Should still remain strong, just not as water reppelant.

      • That sounds like a cool first job ozhunter, thanks for offering your expertise. I thought it could be as a result of the stitching as well but when I inspected it further they weren't all along the seams (hopefully what it's called where one piece of fabric meets a line of stitching) but also in large panels on the side of the bag.

Happy to hear it'll still hold up fine, bit of a shame on the water repellent properties but hopefully it's something that can be addressed in the future, in the mean time I'm still happy to support an Aussie business with good-value products

Personally, I would still try to take a photo and reply to the company as they might be fair and give

you a part refund or most likely credit for your next order.

          • @ozhunter68: They have a fair wear and tear guarantee, I'd say this qualifies, especially considering it negates the waterproof functionality

Hi @SpainKing, I did receive your email (which I will reply to shortly) but I thought I would also reply here to address this for anyone else who may be thinking along the same lines. What you are seeing is actually quite normal with canvas, because the needle is larger than the thread you will see many tiny pinholes. We actually coat the bags with a proofer and generally, over time the holes will get smaller as both the fabric and thread expand and contract. Another way to speed this process up is to soak the bag in water, let it dry and repeat the process, this is commonly referred to as "seasoning" the canvas. You can do this but it will wash off the proofer, if it were a tent we would be recommending this but since they are bags we opt for the slower method.

      Hope this helps.

Edit - I found this link which explains the process a little better, I will do something like this on my own website in the coming weeks.
