Hacktoberfest is back for 2021 with a few changes. Score a free T-shirt or a planted tree by making four pull requests on eligible GitHub/GitLab repositories between October 1-31.
Repositories need the Hacktoberfest tag or the individual Pull Requests need the hacktoberfest-accepted label.
You can make these pulls on your own repositories but they should be "quality".
This is only available to the first 50,000 participants so make sure to register now.
Referrer will receive $25 account credit for every referred that totals $25 in billings. Referee will receive $100/ 60 day credit.

Im going to set my repos to private for a while, last time the spam requests were annoying to deal with.
If you don't add the hacktoberfest topic to your repositories I suspect the spam will be minimal.

What does that even mean? You basically get a shirt + stickers or a tree planted. Maybe $5-10 of swag at the most.
