Deliveroo Order Didn't Arrive - No Refund as They Say Order Delivered

Hi all,

Last night I put placed a $40 Deliveroo order. The order was marked as delivered but nothing arrived. Maybe the driver took the food or delivered it at the wrong address. I contacted customer service and they said the order has been delivered and there's nothing that they can do.

I'm out of pocket $40 now. What's my best course of action? Could I call my bank? Not sure what else to do here.

    start leaving reviews everywhere, beware this ompany etc and complain on their facebook page. And call your bank. And call deliveroo back in business hours also

    The wheels turn slowly but what you need to do is email them your complaint and what you would like as a resolution… (ie. Full refund to my credit card)

    Then when they don't reply within a week or two, start a chargeback with your bank, who will ask you for proof of the order, proof that you have tried to resolve it…

    The approx 6 - 10 weeks later you'll have a refund and they'll be out the refund and the merchant chargeback fee..

      And within about 3 seconds of you getting your money back, they will probably ban you from their shitty platform.

    There's a phone number on their support page, have you used that?

    I've had issues with these clowns before, you'll get the quickest resolution by speaking to someone (calmly and rationally).

    Once resolved, delete the app and never look back.

  • Sorry OZB can’t refund you but Deliveroo probably can if you nag them enough through their support channels including twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc.

  • Happened to me once, they said it was delivered but it wasn't (or so we thought) deliveroo sent us a new version of the same order, then later that night we realised that the driver had thrown the order into the bushes next to our fence for some reason (the gate was unlocked), 2 meals for the price of 1 that night.

    I see you haven't learnt your lesson yet. Always wait outside and meet the delivery driver on the street. I have no faith in food delivery drivers to deliver food to the right address.

    I had Uber cancel an order on me an hour after I placed it (ie. when it was due to be delivered).

    I insisted that they pay me the total value of the order I placed for wasting my time. They of course refused, so I kept emailing them until they gave up. Took 7 emails in total, but I got what I wanted and they probably learned nothing.

    As a bonus, I used the credit they gave me, then haven't used them since.
