    Cheaper at a few places:
    http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=Intel+SSD+1…

    $202 Delivered at HB outlet.

  • Yea your gonna have to do better than that.

    • give me a min.

      • +10

$199 delivered. give me a sec to change paypal button. sqeezed supplier for a bit more.

        • Thank-you!

  • Any chance of getting the 180GB?

    • hows $302?

      • You guys don't normally sell hardware? The website doesn't look like a fully fledged store.

        • +13

Very service oriended but a big ozbargain fan, so when i saw i could maybe compete with the big guys for a day or so on something they havent found i thought id give it a shot haha

      • Was hoping for less than $300, but I guess it's only one cup of coffee :D

  • ooooohhh, waiting for the 60gb (gonna RAID a couple of them :D )

    • +1

      hows $124 delivered? (oem version)

      • That's not too bad, retail box is about $129 + delivery. What does the OEM version include?

        • +1

The OEM drives come in brown OEM box and no accessories.

The Retail comes in Blue Intel retail box with a bracket, cables and screws.

        • Perfect, I don't need any of those extras so may as well save the $4 :)

        • How long will this deal go for?

        • Have updated at the top :)

+1 for rhys100, nice work mate

    • +6

+1 for a rep that replies in a timely manner to questions asked :)

      • +2

        thanks guys :)

  • Also have changed to end 1.50pm today so i can get them shipped out today to me and then ship them out to you guys tomorrow or the next day :)

  • rhys100 just a tip, if you want to do as well as a lot of other computer sellers on ozbargain then you need to go straight to a great bargain price and stick with it.

You started with an average price and are haggling which is ok but really not going to work as well as if you just had the cheaper price to begin with.

    • +1

thanks mate. silly of me not to check staticice as its norm the first thing when i buy myself :)

  • Why does it end at 3pm if its a wholesale price drop?

    • +1

because for it to work i have to order them all at the same time. If i get a dribble of orders through late tonight and tomorrow then ill have to make another order, and i have to order at least 5 units of each size to get the pricing.

      • HB Outlet's regular price is only a few dollars more (e.g. $307 vs $302 for 180GB version), perhaps your supplier isn't giving you the best deal they can?

        • +12

There is $16.40 margin in it at $199 (if i get them shipped to me for free). If i remove paypal fees and shipping to customer, there is less than $10 profit. I don't think i really want to sell them for any less than that unless you would like to pick it up?

        • +2

          Appreciate the honesty

  • and obviously the bigger players who buy 15mill such as MSY from them every year get it slightly cheaper than me whos buying 20 units haha.

    • +1

that was meant to be a reply for above thread..

  • I don't know much at all about SSD's, can someone tell me how it compares to th Crucial 128GB M4 2.5Inch SSD CT128M4SSD2 which is a bit cheaper from Amazon?

    • Apart from model specific faults I would say they mostly perform the same. These both read/write of about 500MB/s which is standard for this price range SSD. The main difference is that the Intel comes with a 5 year warranty rather than the 3 of the Crucial.

    • +1

      · Only Intel SSDs have 5-year warranty whereas others 3-year

      · Intel SSDs was acknowledged as THE FASTEST SSD with Sandforce Controller SATA III

      · Intel SSDs has 10 TIMES less faulty rate %0.46 whereas other %2.5-%3.5

I can leave my order till tomorrow if people want more time? Whats everyones thoughts? (Will obviously email the current buyers and get the ok with them as well)

    • I would love a bit more time since I can't use PayPal at work :(

      • i can send you invoice and you can pay via direct deposit if you want? :)

        • Do you prefer direct deposit?

        • yep!

      • yep!

Having a sale for only a few hours is kinda gimmicky. Leave it for 24 hours - give people enough time to consider the offer.
Also, it's not clear - are all drives OEM or only 60gb?

      • I vote for leaving a bit more time. Still deciding whether to get one for my laptop too. Having placed an order already I don't mind waiting an extra couple of days.

(whoops, replied to the wrong comment)

      • good q. will double check that :)

      • 60GB Version (OEM)
        120GB Version (OEM)
        180GB Version (Retail)

        • Ahh didn't know the 180GB is retail. It was unfair to compare your price to other shops' OEM prices then. Sorry about that.

However, since I don't need the brackets etc, would you be able to get the OEM version at a lower price?

        • haha good one :P - yea $5 cheaper

        • Please post a link for the OEM version once you set it up :)

        • if you just buy it, ill refund $5 on the paypal transaction for you. Specify in paypal comments you want the oem for $5 cheaper.

          Thanks

    • ok will leave it for another day peoples :)

  • Is this the same as the 520S drive or is the 520 one different?

  • Great deal, almost ordered one but I found it cheaper locally & now I want it today ;P

  • Sadly they no longer use Intel's in house controller. They now use Sandforce controllers for 520 series. The 320 Series still uses Intel's Controller.

  • Just to let everyone know you can get some cool adapters such as this one now:
    A-RAM 2.5 " to 3.5" adapter bracket

    http://image.skycomp.com.au/products/27992.jpg

Can include them for $20 if you want one. ( I know other places have them cheaper but not interested in matching them)

  • msy sell em for $229.. i just got one, unless you can do the 240gb version for $300 its not really a good bargain,, its just new standard price really.

    • 240 for $300? your dreaming :)

      • +1

        you're

        • +1

          ha

    • +2

      @T1000

MSY has 120GB for 30$ more with no postage?
And as far as I can see they don't list the 240GB. PCCasegear have the 240GB for $399 and they are usually within 5-10$ of MSY. Perhaps you got a worse deal and/or are mis-informed?

  • msy sell the RETAIL, not OEM.. so you get your $20 worth there with mounting bracket and what not,…..

the whole instant factor to get it today instead of waiting with being able to take it back is worth it, to save a few pennies,..

the cheapest for 240gb is $350 in aus,.. standard deal/price, so if there was a bargain to be had it would be $50 off to make it $300…

what deal are you suggesting i got worse or am miss informed about? i got mine for $229 on Friday 120gb retail box.

saving $10 of something costing over $200 isnt ozbargains worthy, thats all.

    • Sorry, my bad. I keep forgetting the OEM/Retail thing. (btw its saving $20 as its also including postage)

I want OEM as I have just received an order of 24SATA + Power cables, and my case (Fractal Design) already supports upto 8x2.5" drives. Plus for laptops the extras are useless. So I may as well save the few $ difference.

Also I would much rather make my own mounting bracket out of aluminum for better heat dissipation, but thats just me.

  • Just found a 120GB on PCsolutions for $134.64
    http://www.pcsol.com.au/Prods/Intelsemiconductorlimited-DSC2…

Looks too good to be true

    • $15 shipping.

      • and???

        • And do the maths.

          It's 134.65 + 15 = $149.65

Still cheaper than Rep but hey, at least people know the total price.

    • that code is for the 60GB

Intel (SC2CW060A310) 60 GB SATA SSD Solid

but they are saying its 120gb,. iv ordered a few, ill see how it goes… they charged my card…

      cheers

    • +2

Considering the cost price on a 120 is 165+gst id say that order wont go through, or youll get a 60gb?

      • we shall see………

        • Just called them. It's a mistake its the 60gb drive. The 120 is $213. So i'd call and cancel!

      • :)

  • Great service from a rep.

For those looking for alternative brands, I saw this:

Online Computer has a Fujitsu 120GB for $159 + $6.50 ship to Melbourne.

    Specs seem similar:550M /s s Read & 520M / s Write

    http://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/product_info.php?products_i…

    • come on dude,.. if you want a good deal get a pyro 240gb for $300 from msy…

these are intels.. the best for reliability, the actual max specs have nothing to do with it realy,. also intel are alot slower in IOP's than the rest, but its fine since they are the most reliable.

  • How about a cheaper alternative? Maybe the 320 series?

    • they arnt really worth it unless the suppliers drop the price which they havent yet.

  • +2

Any change of getting hold of mStata SSDs like Intel 310 Series (80GB)? Cheers.

    • +1

have asked about 320 and 310 series. will get back to you

    • +1

supplier is awaiting response from intel about the price drop on the older drivers. hopefully i have good news soon :)

      • +1

        Ta.

Looking forward to some cheap SSD's for Intel Z68 SRT.

      • +1

awesome! looking for a 120gb or higher in the 320 series!

      • Looking for a mSATA drive also - 310 series would be ideal. Looking forward to your reply! :)

  • Pity i just bought a Galaxy Note, i was looking for an SSD…

    +1 anyway

  • -4

    Who is your supplier?

    • +4

      Why does that matter?

      • +3

He wants to know where you get your goods from, so he can open up his own store and compete!

      • haha. ill give him a hint. Same suppliers as where msy get their intels ;)

      • You mentioned your supplier a lot, it's only natural that someone eventually asks who that supplier is. So I guess it's Ingram Micro… very hard to buy direct from them so don't worry :P

        • Or could be Synnex. Meh they actually more expensive then MSY!!!!

        • Hard to become a Synnex reseller too, but not as hard.
