Please put the price in the heading.

  • Done, thanks for the heads up, I would have got a roasting over that.

  • It's a 16:10 screen. Beware to those wanting "full HD" (ie. 1920x1080)

    • +6

16:10 > 16:9 for everything but television shows.

It's not the most important thing about monitors though.

    Resolution

    1680x1050

    4:3 in Wide

    noo thx

    • +7

1680x1050 is 16:10 as pointed out above.

I prefer this aspect ratio for computer work and browsing the web. More pixels vertically.

Are you serious? you put a negative vote because I did not put a price?

    • +7

Don't let to bother you - there are a lot of jerks here nowadays.

  • Wow that does seem really good. I cleaned my last one with a Dettol surface cleaning wipe and fked the screen XD I cleaned it and used it for 5 hours , went to bed and then woke up and screen was all pixalated.

Is this good? Is there much difference between normal LCD and a high def LCD and what would be the price difference. Would anyone care to explain please.

    Cheers~

    • Well a high def would run 1920x1080 pixels in 16:9 ratio.

I've had my fair share of budget monitors which often results in poor contras ratio and insufficient brightness. This results in you having to crank the brightness and making everything look washed out. Greys and other light colours would just blend in with whites and be totally invisible.

      • technically computer monitors are meant to run 1920x1200 not 1920x1080 because as the guy pointed out above, we need a more space vertically for web pages etc. But it is more common to find them 1920x1080 because it's more easily marketed because thats what people are familiar with.

  • Thanks for your info!

What does 4:3 in wide mean?? Sounds nasty…

    • With the 4:3 in Wide Function, you can say goodbye to distorted images. Enjoy true widescreen images, without stretching or distortion.

I think it means it doesn't stretch 4:3 ratio (ie square screen) material to fill the screen therefore making everything fat.

  • Free shipping and all!. Great price for a 22" brand name monitor. Shame they don't give the model number .

    • LG W2242P-BF

    • Model is LG W2242P-BF.

What is good about this monitor, is while that it is not 24" it is considered a business monitor with excellent adjustable base (tilt, raise, lower, pivot) and 16:10 that many do like (2 A4s next to each other).

  • you guys need guidance:

    http://www.lg.com/au/it-products/monitors/LG-lcd-monitor-W22…

    its an old 22" that does 1,680 x 1,050

it has dvi and vesa 75 (this is a bummer since everyone else uses vesa 100 but its neither here nor there for 99% of people)

    it has 3yr warranty

if you display 4:3 it puts bars on the side, if you run 16:9 or 10 its perfect

    for $99 its decent value

  • just so happen I need a new monitor
    this is a good deal

  • Bought one to match my existing 22"(1680 x 1050).
Time to retire my old 16" ASUS (as a second screen).
$99 including delivery sounds OK to me.

  • Brilliant needed another 22" lcd as second monitor

  • I do not think this is a particularly good deal. You could quite easily get a full HD monitor with an LED backlight for $20 more (albeit pickup).

    • $120 for 22" hd led backlit where from?

      • +1

You can get 21.5" (given they're 16:9 not 4:3) for about 120 that are led backlit these days.

This particular model on sale isn't anything special, but it's probably as decent a 4:3 monitor you can get for $99 these days. It's lower resolution is what's making an average deal IMO.

Ohh msy ok… yeh im abit over there ques and going there to pickup something and they dont have it… even though i ordered online and told to go pickup lol

        • I wish we had half of these stores in Cairns.

      • Yeah, I use PCDIY. It is basically MSY, but a lot more friendly (and they actually answer their phone!)

        22" LED PHILIPS 222EL2SB for $121 in PCDIY's catalogue.

    TN panel?

    • You expect better than HD Retina at this price?

      • -1

What's wrong with asking for more info?

    • +1

Nah $100 IPS sounds about right.

Wow, great deal! My bro needs a new monitor. This'll be perfect for him.

  • This is so tempting. My old TripleHead2Go can do two 1680x1050 monitors with a mode expansion tweak that was released. Add a third to the video card's other output and I could have 5040x1050 on my desk, for $300…

  • Looks like deal is out of stock.Quick and the dead I guess.

  • dammit. woulda loved this!
