        Yes it your card has that offer, but you also forfeit your $400 of amex travel credit, so the deal isn't as great as it first appears.

          Considering that travle credit expires on 31 December, uncertainty with travel and crazily inflated prices on travel (and possibly even higher prices if you go via Amex Travel) it's a good way of using this money.
          So why not to use this money now? And when you are able to travel you just use your own money.
          Another benefit of using your Amex is that you may get additional Warranty (1 or 2 years depending on your card).

      Unfortunately that info is correct because:

      4 GB Soldered DDR4-3200 + 4 GB SO-DIMM DDR4-3200

      So you can take the 4GB non-soldered ram out and install new 8GB which will make it 12GB

      The difference is that WVA has wide viewing angle oppose to a quite narrow viewing angle for TN, where colours and bightness changes when you look at the screen at an angle.
      Would appreciate your reply as many people are considering buying it but the deal ends tomorrow.

    In case you want additional product care replacement, for example, 3 years will cost you $299 on the website. So don't add it online. After your purchase, simply call your local Harvey Norman and they might be able to offer it to you cheaper than what's on the website.

    Ended up buying this today. Know it is heavier but for the specs thought it had more grunt and ability to upgrade.

    Proper spec's (middle column) (as per THT - I started writing this earlier)

    Never trust HN, JB, etc. to get spec's right.

    Eg. It is TN, but more precisely it's WVA.

      You'd need to check the service tag. HN etc. tend to get custom spec models to avoid "price matching".

      If you go through all the specs you will find out that the model at HN is exactly the same as @ Lenovo. The only thing different is the COLOUR.

      I also noticed that sometimes they give slightly different model numbers to the products supplied to different stores. I guess to prevent people from matching prices.

        I guess the photo in HN is incorrect (or older version), but the actual product is the same as the link you provided, except the colour. I've collected mine yesterday evening and unboxed it last night. Will start the setup today.

          How do you find it compared to other computers you have had?
          Is it of sufficient contrast and colour to be OK to use for a few hours?

    Reviews say the screen quality is terrible, but appear to be using different screens for different model Slim 3s.

    A low contrast hard to read screen would be a real let down given the other specs are quite good for my needs.
    Need this for a work environment.

    Anyone seen this particular model's screen in action or received theirs and can comment??

          I'm really more interested in how you are finding the display, not just its specs.

          Do you find it of good contrast, contrast and clarity? Can you compare it to say a MacBook air Retina, or an older non-retina MacBook?

          Is it satisfying to use or does it tire your eyes?

            @pencilman: Hi pencilman, as I'm not really an expert in tech and I'm not a gamer, I don't think I am in a good position to provide useful info to you. For me, this new laptop is for my kid's education - high school next year. Thus, the TN screen and resolution are good enough. If you are looking for a laptop with better or higher-end resolution and/or longer life battery, this unit may not be suitable, and again it all depends on the individual's need :-)

            p.s. Sorry, I don't use MacBook, so I couldn't compare and comment.

              b. worse than other computer screens you have used, but tolerable, or

                @pencilman: I tried to tilt up/down and turn left/right, and I could notice the quality deteriorates significantly for up/down, but left/right is still alright but within small angles. Hope this helps :-)

          Could you just have a look at the screen from different angles, e.g. if you look from above or from the sides. If there is a noticable picture quality and colours change, then it is a standard TN. If it doesn't change much when you look at the screen at an angle, then it's WVA.
