      Haha, I Figure they'll 'fix' it once they have everyone with a pc…or if the streaming is good enough maybe a fair chunk of people with tablets and smart tv's hooked on dirt cheap great gaming.

      I'm actually pretty happy to see MS throwing money at game devs and leaving them plenty of freedom to do the thing they do. If they keep that up then I hope they keep acquiring studios. After a few decades of EA and Activation holding out a hand to all the studios that garnered cult following only to dump half the staff, crush the other half's spirits with annual deadlines and micro transactions until they devoured the soul of the IPs themselves (usually long after all the good will.) I think they must have been confused by the term cash cow so instead of milking they took it to a Korean bbq joint and had a party.

      Well shit…sorry for that tangent… I miss bioware and ….you get the idea ;). But yeah those Turkish gamers are sure ah…dedicated.

        I set it up yesterday for myself and most of the listings stated no expiry date. I had to skip the free month I got with laptop and 3 feee with crunchyroll (didn't know if they stakced or if I would screw it up so all good) but im suprised its been going so easy for so long. microsoft phone support have even helped people in these threads. SO I imagine you'll be fine, they're trying to gather more turkish xbox ultimate players than the country population is my guess.

      You can definitely buy now and redeem later but you risk Microsoft catching on and blocking Turkish VPN redemptions on foreign accounts or they could even just end the $1 promo upgrade to Ultimate. You will then be stuck with 36 months of Turkish Xbox Live Gold that you can't do anything with.

    Paypal wouldn't go through on a couple of cards for some reason but using a debit card went through straight away. Whole process took about 15 minutes from including creating a new xb account and adding it on the console.

        The title of the post says New users. Rather than risk adding 36 months to an existing account and not getting the upgrade to GP, i created a new one. Don't care about stats and saved games. Probably can import it somehow if the need arises.

        Also I logged in with an existing account and it said GP upgrade was 15.99 instead of $1 with a new account.

        I agree with this. If you spend the $1 and upgrade it to Ultimate, then cancel it, you get the option to either cancel as of xx/xx/2024 or cancel immediately and get a $1 refund. Obviously you select the former.

        I think it doesn't matter, it's only to give you the code.

        I was using my vpn for Turkey at the time.

        More important to have your vpn on when going to Microsoft but login in like normal

    Ok, this is my story on this.. without reading it properly I added 2x gold card to my existing account. I was about to hang my self as it did not work lol (useless gold). I knew I could not get a refund, but decided to call microsoft anyway. The refund department helped me to convert the gold subscription of 24 months to 25 months ultimate by paying an additional $15.95. Now I wish I bought 3x :(

    I kept my original account and converted it legitimately. (Hope this helps- for ppl like me lol)

    Has anyone had any issues when converting the gold to game pass ultimate? I have purchased 36 months, added it to my account no problem (gold expires Oct 2024). When I try to convert it to ultimate I get to the conversion point and click continue and then nothing happens.
    Any ideas of what to do?
