From the video you still need a seperate grinder and still need to tamp the coffee as well. I'm not sure what the market is for this machine…Maybe for people that don't want to hold the milk jug?

    • My guess is for people that are happy to buy pre-ground coffee from Coles/Woolies… it does come with one of those combination scoop and tamper handles 🤷‍♂️

      • or if you have a speciality coffee shop nearby, they most likely will be able to grind anything they sell to your needs.

  • Does this take beans, pods or both?

That looks surprisingly similar to other brands. :)

I suspect the confusion here is the Breville in the UK is not the same as Breville in Australia. So this isn't a Breville machine in the sense that most Australians would expect. The equivalent of Breville in the UK is alas not Breville, but Sage.

You generally don't want Breville machines from the UK. They are closer in quality to Sunbeam than what people think of as Breville in Australia.

      lol. "Mr Coffee" 😆

      Mr Coffee - Spaceballs

      • I mean it isn't a terrible coffee machine. Some people in the US like Mr Coffee. But it is no Breville.

          What's the neg for, again?

I don't like this item, so I'm not giving it a +. But it's not the worst deal for whoever wants it, right?

I am pointing out this isn't Breville.

            • @mjwills: Ohhhh, this is the European Breville. I still thought this is some cheapish stuff that Aussie Breville just released. Neg it to hell.

            • @mjwills: Thank you for the clarification mjwills - I stand corrected.

              • @ifonlyiwasyounger: Thats right. Looking at the Breville UK store, the only other thing that they are selling other than this coffee machine is Air purifier :D

    • I've seen Breville and Sunbeam share a few similar designs for a few of their products so that explains things! TIL.

  • For the price I don't mind grinding the beans separetely.

    • Then for $100-200 you can get a low quality pump plus standalone milk frother and heater.

This is not the Australian Breville. Breville many years ago sold off its european business and they make completely different machines. Breville in europe is sold under the Sage brand name.

It's likely to have a UK power plug, so you'll need an adapter.
