REOLINK100F2

Reolink 8MP and 5MP with AI detection on sale on the Aliexpress store from Australian warehouse.

Pair whatever Store coupon is available with the 10%off store coupon code "REOLINK100F2" on the Seasonal Finds discounted prices.

The 820D4-A is the 8MP/4K version with AI Human/Car Detection. 520D4-A is the 5mp with the AI detection and 520D4 is the 5MP without AI. Unless on a tight budget, it seems like the AI detection is almost a must. All packages with 2TB NVR.

I managed to get the RLK8-820D4-A down to A$511.87 including GST which is the cheapest we've seen.

All sent from Australian warehouse (I hope)

Looks like limited stock, but good deal for anyone that missed out on the last one.

  • Thanks, picked one up to replace some crap Ring cameras that I currently have.

    • The joys of ozbargain. There was only 6 left this morning. Down to 1 left now. Stock started reducing as soon as this post went up ha.

      • Lol rules state must have a minimum 10 available to be posted as a deal 😂

        • Oh whoops. Didn't know that … But an extra 4 seem to have been added on to stock so i'm safe now i guess :D

  • I think it's OOS

    • Yeah, looks like the 8mp has just gone out of stock. Only 5MP versions left.

      • There's more back in stock now

Are Reolink cameras considered to be the OzBargain CCTV cameras of choice?

I was looking at HIKVision PTZ cameras. The Reolink PTZ camera comes out miles ahead in terms of features and low cost.

  • +2

There's still a few of the 810A-B4A's in stock, showing as $507.92 which is the bullet cams rather than turret or a smidge under $760 for the 8 camera 3T turret version if people are chasing those

    RLK8-810B4-A @ $AU $526.90 (incl GST) - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001631504351.html

  • I have the RLK8-820D4-A 4K (human/car dectection) TOOO much false alarm at night time when it is raining or often a bug flies past. Day time is good.

    • +1

I just watch all the motion triggered recordings from the day before on my phone at x4 or x8 speed. There are bug and tree movements triggering general movement alerts but if you really want to you can just watch the person and/or vehicle triggered events on mobile (option not available on PC app). I've only had one case of it not identifying a person in an area I care about in the last month. I'd say it is 99% effective on the person/vehicle detection.

  • RLK8-820D4-A can be had for $756 shipped after the coupon. That is a STEAL! Bought!

    • +1

Are you sure?? The RLK8-820D4-A can be had for $511 AUD on the Reolink Aliexpress store. &756 is a lot. Even on the direct store, its much cheaper.

    • I think you meant the 8 camera version? RLK16-820D8-A?

    • Sorry I did meant the RLK16-820D8-A!

      • Where do you see 756 for this ?

  • How's everyone dealings with ordering from Ali Express and returns etc? I guess it is the official Reolink store.

    • Yeah. It's there official store. I've had a few questions over the last few days and good responses. AliExpress Reolink has decent feedback on Reddit and stuff when searched on Google

      • Any ideas why their AliExpress store often have cheaper prices than their official web store?
I would have thought it would be the other way around in order to cover AE's cut.

I've been pondering over this a lot too. I think Aliexpress also financially support some discounts from time to time. I remember once getting an eBay item with a coupon code and paying a certain amount. Then got an invoice direct from the seller which had the original price without the discount code, meaning that eBay actually covered costs. This makes sense for eBay since they also have income from eBay plus.
I wonder if Aliexpress is a similar story where they provide some discounts themselves in addition to what Reolink provide. This might mean Reolink get more money than what we actually pay.
So perhaps they have deals to get business towards a certain medium (such as Aliexpress/Ebay/Amazon) to increase presence in that platform, maybe its a win win in many ways. All speculation though, but makes sense business wise.

What was interesting was that I'd messaged Reolink directly to price match my Aliexpress price and they said that it was too low and they couldn't price match …. so who really knows

If they said that, then it clearly supports your theory that they are receiving subsidy from AE for their promocodes via AE, which is why they cannot afford to price match their AE store.

          • @soaring: Hello,
Any idea how often does Ali Express run these deals?
Yes, you are right AE is the cheapest, we won't get this price on any other platform.
I'm interested to buy when the next deal comes!!!

            • @sats: Not sure @sats. I only decided recently to get Reolink and got very lucky with the deal. There seems to be a proper sale every about month or so. Last one was late sep on eBay, so just keep checking their website, Ali, eBay and Amazon and hopefully you get something soon.

            • @sats: Next one is 11/11/21

  • 4k back in stock. Just ordered. Cheers op!

    • No Australian stock left now.

All sent from Australian warehouse (I hope)

Ordered an RLC-820A from AU warehouse on Ali Reolink Official Store, was told was out of stock after purchase and back ordered from China. 2 Months later it arrived after pushing dates 3 times. Pretty shit service but it was about 30% cheaper than Amazon AU fulfillment.

    Mini Review
    • Had the cam for a month, is good video/audio and the person/vehicle detection works well with no false positives. Sends push to iPhone and records to SD card. UPNP is disabled in my router and I still didn't need to manually open ports for remote viewing/push notifications although Ive now blocked all internet access on a firewall level. China
    • The vertical FOV is quiet narrow @44deg and can be challenging when mounting in an elevated position (looking down-ish). The camera housing/mount is a bit poxy and has no way to lock the camera view to a position. Just a light bump with a broom knocks it around and needs readjusting unless you enjoy cloud or bird watching.
    • H265 seems good on paper but you need to input low quality h264 sub-streams into web browser and Home Assistant as h265 is not supported. Also on HA the Reolink integration (unofficial) which can set the person detection as a trigger etc, Is currently not working after an update killed it. The Reolink windows app supports h265 high quality main stream.

Feel free to ask any questions, happy to try and help.

    • Good to know. Thanks @nofate

Damn! I would probably do the same out of paranoia, but that means I can't view any live footage away from home.
From a security / (suspected) spying point of view, should Reolink be placed in the same bucket as HIKVision and Dahua?

  • +1

Looks like more is back in stock Ladies and Gents. I see 27 left in the Aus warehouse and now even a few AUD less.

  • Seems REOLINK100F2 is not working now? Best I can get on 820D4A is $567

    • Same for me $567.48 for me too :-(

    • Ye the discount code isn't working anymore.
