  • Do you offer 2x4GB Kits (8bg Total)? I want to upgrade the missus's iMac

    • Check compatibility with iMac - often memory (perhaps used to be) has Apple specific requirements and is sold like that. Msy used to have the Mac memory as a separate page in their PDF price list

      • Last time I used apple products they use ECC RAM

        • Only the Mac Pros (and I think the iMac Pros) use ECC RAM.

Everything else is just normal laptop memory.

        • Only Mac Pro and iMac Pro use ECC RAM (and the latter is not a simple panel on the back to change).

      • Total nonsense, Intel iMacs use standard RAM.

Details for each model on Apple’s site.

  • I bought 1x8Gb from Amazon for $49 yesterday. So, this is a better price.

    • But you bought it brand new for slightly more and from Amazon (hassle free returns) which I'd say is totally worth it.

I think the ones being sold here are taken from laptops based on the business selling refurb computers.

  • These would be ideal for Synology DS920 right?

  • +1

Can you confirm these brand new in retail packaging? I'm guessing they're not based on the business selling refurbish computers.

      Hi there,

These are brand new in packaging.

Fair point to have mentioned given we generally deal with secondhand goods.

      Will make the edit now.

      Thanks.

  • Hi Justin

can i get an update on my [Order #205] (October 14, 2021)

As the Contact page on the website doesn't lead anywhere

    • Hi there,

Your order was sent off on the 15th, and the Auspost Tracking shows that on the 18th it was in transit.

There are serious delays with shipping at the moment, hopefully it arrives soon.

The tracking number should have been sent to you via email.

      Thank you,
      Justin.

      • great, thank you :)
