Need recommendation for a 75" TV (~$2,200 budget)

Hi fellow Ozbargainers. Do you all have a favourite 75" TV within a budget of $2,200? I currently have a Hisense 65P7 which I know was an Ozbargain favourite a couple of years ago. That's how I found out about that TV and I love it.

I've moved houses and now I'm need of a bigger TV. Does Hisense have an equivalent of the P7 series in 75" in the current year's TV range? Is there any other manufacturer you can recommend?

I also have a PlayStation 5 and I've been reading how TVs not having HDMI 2.1 is a deal breaker for some people. In all practicality, do I really need an HDMI 2.1 TV? I'm assuming the ones with HDMI 2.1 will most likely be out of my budget anyway.

There's a few listed here for sale from TGG. Might be a little above your budget.

Only if you want to play 4K120 or 8K in future. Not for 4K60 or below.

  • Hisense has a couple of models. I'd look at those.

  • You want bigger than 65!?!

  • Can anyone help with a similar query?

I'm looking for a 75" TV to lock sights on for upcoming sales.

    No gaming requirements.

Main use Netflix, foxtel, TV, movies.

Large open plan room, with plenty of natural light to contend with.

Budget during sales, up to $2,500.

    Thank you

  • Update: I bought a Sony XR75X90J 75" from Sony's ebay seconds store. Full official 1 year Sony warranty and got $700 off the full price of the TV for just some minor box damage.
I did have to increase my budget to $2600 though. But I've got a great TV at a great price.
