          there is a difference Aldi brand is not that great i have tried it. its like buying onion from Aldi, its cheap but you get too many old ones in the bag lol

            @sammyla: nah, i have top of line Bosch dishy and use Aldi tablets, never any issues
            aldi cleaner, never issues - had it for 5 + years now

    Or, you could just use a cup of baking soda and a cup of white vinegar then run a cycle.

        Sorry should've been clearer:

        You run one cycle with just a cup of vinegar, and if there's any any lingering odours, then do another cycle with just baking soda.

    Anyone compared these empty wash ones to the ones you can pop into the bottom of a normal loaded cycle?

    Tried both over the years but since I don't use my dishwasher that much overall, I can't really judge if there's a difference or not.
