  • you can get kayano17's for about $100 on amazon

    • These are still a great shoe for the price. Also remembering that they are delivered express from an Australian seller.

Any issues with sizing etc can be solved within Australia also.

Also you can't actually get them shipped direct to Australia (through Amazon) see their international shipping policy:

The following items can be shipped to almost all destinations outside the U.S.:

        books*
        DVDs
        music
        VHS videos

It looks like Amazon have not updated their shipping info page for quite a while. Last year I bought some shoes, bags, and headphones directly from Amazon to Australia without using any 3rd party forwarding company.

but this way you get to support an Australian (:
But I'm very wary about getting deals from eBay, eBay charge sellers too many seller fees for them to offer a good deal. So I never expect anything from eBay to be a good deal :(

This is a good deal do your research and you will see. Plus they are coming from a genuine PTY LTD Australian company that has been established for 30+ years. See Company ABN: 98 655 380 677

Also check out our eBay feedback.

Not worth it, at least 2 years old, newer models are 2160 and 2170 which have much better technology.

    • Still a great price from AUS!

      • +1

i agree.. from AUS, where we've been systematically reamed by asics for decades.
Thank goodness we are no longer strangled by AUSics!

See my post below outlining where you can get these for $52+

      • A great price FROM but not FOR. As far as I know OZBargain is not restricted only to Australian sources, that means we could find and share the cheapest available sources from anywhere in the world that can be shipped to Australia.

I'm an australian… i prefer to support me… and yeah you can import directly for amazon, i've bought all my shoes this way

    • -1

You can through a freight forwarder but that will cost you extra $$

Also if you have any issues fitting, quality etc how would you solve that - that = more $$ and headaches.

Bottom line is the price is good and you get the support of an Australian seller.

      • why are you continuing to lie

        • how do you figure we are lying!!?

        • How is he lying?

        • +2

I think Amazon's docs on delivery are inaccurate as I've bought things other than what you listed from them.

        • I think knackers believes you can buy shoes from Amazon and get them shipped to Australia even though there not on the list. I got RAM and SSD and that wasn't on the amazon international shipping list.

So neither of you are lying, perhaps misunderstood because Amazon is a little confusing for international buyers.

      • +4

Why should we support Australian sellers who offer bad deals? If they can't compete they should sell something else.

And your arguments about poor fitting are not convincing, everyone knows you can walk into a local shoe shop and try for free before you buy online.

    not a good deal.

startfitness have 2150s for as little as $52.16 delivered.. with free pair of socks.
(I've bought a few pairs from there and wiggle)

    notes:
further %20 removed at checkout (ie VAT removed for AU post)
    delivery is quick.
    service is good.
2150s are old stock so sizes not the best.
    socks are very good quality

    $109?? please

got a pair of 2160s from Endless.com for 70USD delivered. Got to me in 9 days. That's about 65AUD.

    • I just checked endless, and most of the Asics say they can't be shipped outside the USA. Odd… They were way cheaper than this though.

Heck, my family just received 5 pairs of shoes totalling $250USD. Got them in under a week, free shipping too.

Certainly no deal as far as I'm concerned.

      +1 for endless
      -1 for this deal.

    • When did you buy your shoes? Because currently Endless has stopped shipping Asics shoes outside USA. I was going to get Kayano 18 last January but since they have new shipping restriction then I changed to NB.

      • I didn't buy any Asics. I picked up 2 pairs of New Balance, and my daughter got some dance shoes.

I went there to check the pricing and noticed they now have shipping restrictions. Bit of a bummer, but it just means that I keep buying New Balance, which I'm happy with.

  • This deal sucks anyway, but can anyone tell me the cheapest source where I can buy Kayano 18 from ? (inc delivery)

  • Only got my shoes a few weeks ago:
    these are the ones:

at the time, it was $5 postage to Aus, and free postage if order of $100 or more

    • I found this on the product description: This item cannot be shipped outside the USA

  • strange, must be a recent change…

  • shame the endless.com deal doesnt work. does anyone know any other good deals around for $50 to $80 max?
