Can I start a debriefing course for all the cancel culture `^ ers and with special mention to the companies that listen to them .
This was debunked, they changed it because children and parents didn't know what the ship was called.
Tell them it's Slave-1 then. No need to change the name.
@MonkeyMagic4u: Agreed, the ship has been referred to as Slave-1 for almost 50 years now, the name is fitting as a vessel for a bounty hunter who kills, kidnaps, enslaves, for the right price.
Might be the case with a few kids that are new to the series, but the vast majority of OGs will know it. Star Wars has always been about these kind of small details, characters like Max Rebo, Bossk and IG88 are now shaking in their boots…

Although Disney is a rather despicable company, it's really not their fault in this case. Keeping the name of a starship that nobody really knows isn't worth the backlash on social media the name could potentially bring. Much easier to just change it and say it was an oversight, rather than risk potential reputational damage.
That being said, I don't believe Slave-1 is in any way harmful, or provocative.

I can't see this set going to be worth collecting. There are so many sets with the Mandalorian included and you can bet once the new Boba Fett show starts they will have to rerelease this ship set with more Boba Fetts.
FFS, it changed price while I was going throught the checkout. Never mind.
If only we could go back in time and get the original Jango Fett. Something about that old school helmet makes him so much more cooler than the perfectly cast jetpacks and antennas that the new guys have.
