I am starting my journey on seeing if I can legally revert my electricity smart meter back to the regular analogue one. Has anyone been successful with this?

Tough luck, it's not your property.
We pay for it though… how about those electricity bills these days?
The smart meter isn't really that smart you know. It cannot tell you which item is wasting electricity and at what time, this requires some third party attachment. Further to this the meter is not even connected to the internet. The only thing I would think that makes it smart, is probably making a manual job (meter checking) automated probably though sending signals over the power lines Like the power point network adapters.
