you may want to purchase some additional track pieces

Yeah thanks mate i remember my son telling me "dad the track seems so small" haha, i saw 1 type of tracks for 17.60 in BIG W but OOS, Amazon has for 22. might wait a little to get the tracks.

    • Aliexpress sells tracks that are supposedly identical to the official ones just without the lego branding and substantially cheaper. Wonder if anyone here has tried them.

I've had the equivalent in a few of the China knockoff train sets and now that they are mixed in I can't distinguish them from the real Lego ones.

    • Can you please suggest a knock off version that suits with this track?

these are pretty good, they arrived recently, i haven't connected them to real track yet but the quality is amazing, much better than i expected.

        • Thanks! too bad it's located in US, thus, there are additional import fees (unless you have prime)

Works well with Eneloops. Great set.

    • Yea, it needs in total of 10 AAA for this. 6 for the train and 4 for the remote (obviously you can use the app to avoid this)

  • You really need to buy the extra tracks to make it in to something more worthwhile. It becomes rather expensive once you get the add-ons.

  • A bit off topic… any suggestions for playable lego set for 6yr old girl please !!

    • +1

Any of the 4+ (age) sets from Kmart/ Big W/ Target etc.

Try someLEGO Friends, she might like some of these https://www.bigw.com.au/toys/block-brick-sets/lego/lego-frie…

      • The Doggy Daycare or Baby Elephant Rescue would be good sets to try before dropping too much coin on something they may not be into.

    • Tractor, train, planes, race car - I mean literally all of them?

seems they have reset the buying limit from 2 days ago.

    can buy another 5x.

Not being a smartass but why would you want 5x?

      • +1

        He's a reseller

        • +2

I figured, just not sure how he figures it worthwhile after ebay fees, postage etc. probably makes $10-20.

@AjsGuns: Hold long enough and this set will be $200+, but it might be a loooong wait. This set just never retires.

            • @sparkles: I bet they have a replacement shortly after retirement. And given sets tend to get better, any replacement might be superior.

            • @sparkles: They did bump up the rrp at the start of the year though.

    • Normally resets after about a week and you are right .
The trains sets have a cycle of about 4 yrs before retirement so not my cup of tea .

  • They called me Mr Glass

    • Available again

      • The character that causes the train crashes that kill a bunch of people in unbreakable
