So, these are Aussie stocks iPhone 4S's? If so, that is a phenomenal price :)

    • +6

Yep, locally stocked and in store. WOW is going into receivership and liquidating everything.

    • What is the difference between Australian iPhone stock and other foreign stock?

  • +1

I saw those yesterday, very tempted but the white colour was sold out.

  • +1

    Good deal.

  • +1

Do they always sell their iPhone above RRP? 64GB is $999 at Apple Store, $1008 before discount at Wow.

    • doesnt matter, the reduced price right now is way better than what Apple stores sell them for.

  • +1

awesome deal. any chance they do deliveries cause those nsw stores are definitely not close to CBD…

    • +2

Wouldnt risk sending WOW any money and hoping it gets delivered. Theyre in receivership. Id want my item in my hand when i hand over cash.

      • +1

they can't do deliveries anymore, online site is closed. Best bet is to check if another member is going that way and hop on with him.

Also note WOW is not taking any returns other than those required by law

        • What do mean not taking any returns except by law? I bought a Tv with an extended warranty from WOW. Its still under warranty and started playing up. Nothing major. Every now and again it turns on whithout the visual(audio only) I think I should take it back before it gets any worse while I still can. Do you think they will give me a hard time returning it?

        • @curtbruce

Unfortunately they will flat out refuse you. The law doesn't matter to them.

        • @curtbruce, if it's under the manufacturer's warranty, they will have to fix it or ask you to deal with the manuf. , but extended warranty is a grey line and since WOW will close in about 4 weeks time, better get in quick

        Nice deal OP

Is it possible to price match it in Perth? Just FYI, Perth doesn't have a WOW store. Anybody's kind enough to post a receipt?

  • +1

Didn't these guys go into receivership? I wouldn't be doing anything like layby/preorder etc

  • +1

Can you price match Apple store (Since Apple does price matching??)

    • +3

Pretty sure most, if not all price-matching policies exclude store liquidations.

    • +1

Can also confirm plenty of stock and should be around for a while, they don't normally sell these outright but due to receivership they aren't allowed to sell plans

Why the change from Android? Just wondering.

        • I Personally have owned cheap phones since for ever.. ranging from "Hiptop / Nokia / HTC Wildfire and so forth" I love being able to tweak all sorts of different roms on the HTC but I just thought that now was the time to try something different.. My brother has a Samsung S2 and it's awesome! But I just felt like trying somthing different now that I have an iPad :P

WOW are/were Telstra dealers. Wouldn't these be locked to Telstra then ?

    • +1

You are correct! I just spent the last few minutes cutting up a few spare normal sims (Practicing) only to receive an error messsage "Carrier not supported" can't activate blah blah blah! Help!!! :( what do I do now? I want it on the optus network.. do I just pay a website for an unlock?

    • +5

FYI anyone wondering, these can be unlocked for free..

      Quote from whirlpool (Telstra Rep)
If you call the team on 13 22 00 and ask for the handset to be unlocked they can organise it for you. It can take up to 72 hours for the request to be processed and you'll need to tether the mobile via iTunes after that time to complete the unlock (the team will provide details about that when you call).

Being a post-paid service there would be no fee to unlock the mobile, and you'll need to provide the handset IMEI (this can be found by entering *#06# on the handset and hitting 'Send'). Greg
