Am I missing something or is this a pretty shit deal?

Kinda scratching my head here too… is there any difference between this TF101 and the TF101 32GB + Dock which was sold for ~$368 by multiple retailers (and price matched by many more) last year?

Yeah, this is pretty expensive for an older model…

        • I thought this might be the 3G version, as prices would be a RIPOFF otherwise !

        • Well, the description in the picture only mentions wifi and bluetooth, so I'm guessing it's not.

      • +1

Yeah sorry this seems like a rip.

  • I got $367 from centrecom last year. Bought 2. great tab

  • Got this for $399 incl dock last year. Kinda expensive.
New model is $710 after OW pricematch - 5%

  • mdmi port?

    • mdma or hdmi?

Well don't get me started on 'e-mail'. Completely disappointed when I found out what that was.

  • ,,,

  • It is good for people who is looking for a tablet with a keyboard dock included without having to break their bank. I was looking for one too but the nearest OW I could go is no longer in stock. Ended up getting from someone via Gumtree today. If only this is posted earlier…

Get a iPad (3rd Gen) and apple bluetooth keyboard only a little more, and much better

      • I'm not going to get into the whole Android vs iOS thing but this keyboard dock here also has battery to bring the total battery life to 16 hrs. And you get 2 USB ports and SD card port.

Both tablets at dual core but the advantage of the new iPad will be higher screen resolution and quad core graphics so in the end it's what you actually need.

      • Get the transformer infinity over the iPad 3 for a little less, with a battery on the keyboard, usb support for hdd and a hdmi out…..blah blah blah

  • +5

Um this isnt a deal…if anything this is grossly overpriced given that its the older 1st gen transformer.

    • What about the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 16 GB wifi only that's selling cheapest in local stores at $433? Both are dual cores and released around the same time. It's just that the Tab started selling late here due to the court case..

  • It's alright for 3G version, but definitely not a bargain

    • It's not even a 3G version. It's just WiFi.

    Too expensive, neg…

  • Why would you pay this much for a last generation product??

  • +3

Way too expensive. So much so, I'm tempted to give it the HN seal of approval.

  • The Prime version is selling at $517 at OW but it's listed as TF101.

Maybe the price is for the Prime.
But the pic looks like the first gen Transformer.
If it is the first gen, then I agree it's way overpriced.

    a

    • Need a proper reason to give a neg, sport.

looks pretty expensive for a previous generation product

  • Thats weird. they have it as "Transformer prime tf 101" on their website. Then they also have a separate listing for the original Transformer 16gb being about $9 more.
