I believe this is the lowest it's been. I understand some are waiting for sub $250 but this is the best price so far afaik.

  Laughably overpriced RRP. Should be RRP $299. The motors are way under powered. Time for some brushless XXXXL motors so you can have a touch of fun with these cars. In youtube videos, this thing is pathetically slow. The remote control buggy is actually quick enough for indoor use, but not outdoor.

    Well, this one is crawler 'style'. If it were a hobby grade RC it would be quite slow, but with heaps of torque, and wouldn't have diffs at all (but this thing has locking diffs).

    High turn brushed motors are de rigueur for the category, though I'm sure the supplied Lego motor probably doesn't fit that bill either…not sure.

    I guess it's just a toy…still looks like a fun build though. $299 does seem high, yes.

        It's supposed to be a trial truck. They carry racing numbers and sponsorships for sure, but they don't go fast.
