  Idle pondering from someone who doesn't normally ponder these sorts of things:

  Buy the real shoes for $200 and the person (kid?) who made them got $2.50 for the efforts working under inhumane conditions. Eventually send the shoes back to a third world country (possibly country of origin) as landfill.

  Buy a plastic model of the shoes, produced by a company that at least has some semblance of ESG credibility, for $220 and have to build it yourself. Does this make them $350+ "shoes"? Eventually send the bricks back to a third world country as landfill.

  I'm not an enviro-crusader but, yeah, we're screwed.
